No, what Roy did wasn't truly legit and i used it as an example in the beginnign to **** on Manny because it almost the same but it is more legitimate than Manny vs. Margarito.

It's not "convenient" for Pacquiao. People are either too big or too small for Manny when they're a threat to fight. The fighters of today are too soft, or maybe the new generation is letting fighters know it's OK to be soft, and it's wrong. Boxing is dying out, there's only a few fighters that fight because they love the sport, and fight the best all the time. That's part of being a champ, once you reach that level there's no going back, they USE TO FIGHT ONLY THE BEST,YOU DIDN"T REALLY PICK, THE FANS DID, THEY KNEW THE GREAT MATCHUPS AND THEY WOULD SELL WELL, FIGHTERS WOULD GET THEIR PAYCHECK AND FANS WOULD GET A GREAT FIGHT. But today we have champs fighting chumps and has beens, and even the new comers are refusing to fight since even the champs aren't fighting.

It will take a real Journalist to bring this to the publics attention. This shyt has turned into the WWE ffs. i'm losing interest in the sport slowly but surely.

Ruiz was a title holder and Jones went up to his weight and didnt force him to meet at a weight that he would be strongest at. For those two reasons Jones hw title was more legit then Manny's. Im not saying that Roy was the undisputed HW champion either so dont misunderstand me.

I'm personally a person that only recognized undisputed or lineal champions. Then is 2002 when The Ring magazine launched their new championship policy, I started only recognizing their title and lineal titles. So my definition of a champion and your's may be different. LL unified the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles and never lost them in the ring. The belt Ruiz had was simply stripped from LL, rendering it a paper trinket in my mind. That's why RJ winning it didn't mean all that much to me. When you have an established champ, the other belts are 100% meaningless.

It won't happen because most of the respected journalist in boxing are more interested in ****ting on Mayweather. And since Pac has become the anti-Mayweather, he basically gets a free pass on anything he does. Even when the guys write negative pieces on Pac, they include a, "its Mayweather's fault" excuse in it, which shifts blame away from where it should be. And that's squarely on Manny Pacquaio's head.

Yeah i can understand where you're coming from on that but if you judge by those standards very few alphabet belts would be legit and most guys that we call champions now wouldnt qualify.

It depends on who I'm talking to. Take Manny Pacquaio for example. If I'm talking to a knowledgeable fight fan with clear understanding of what lineal, The Ring, and undisputed titles are, I'll call him a 4 division champ, because they'll understand where I'm coming from. If I'm talking to a casual follower who only knows two current active/semi-active fighters, I'll simply tell them Pac has won major titles in 8 divisions. And that's mostly because I don't feel like explaining which of his titles were legit and which weren't. Because even if I did, I'd be speaking a foreign language to them anyway.
