Nathan Cleverly says he would be interested in a fight with Carl Froch if he moved to light heavyweight.

He's a really good fighter. Quick hands and combinations, fierce work rate.
He just had a terrible last fight against a real tricky opponent. On his night he could be world class.

I've been impressed with him since the beginning of his career. He has good hand speed/accuracy and an iron chin. I feel there's a few key issues he needs to sort out though. He really needs to start sitting down on his punches more, particularly on the inside. His defense also needs a lot of work. He is very easy to hit. There were questions raised about his heart in his last fight I feel. He ground out the result against a very awkward opponent and got the job done in the end, but for 3 rounds or so in the middle he looked so despondent, almost on the verge of quitting. He's allowed a bad night but he showed signs of a fighter who loses faith when things aren't going his way.

If he can sort out some of these issues in his technique then I think he can develop into a great boxer who could potentially become a British legend.

I don't reckon much of Cleverly, he's not as great as people say.

I rate Kevin Mitchell above him to be honest.

And unfortunately Kev fell short at world-level even though anyone can caught by a puncher really.

I think something similar will happen to Clev when he steps it up.

He's talented but I don't think he's ready for the elite-level guys yet. I'm not sure when/if he will be, I think Braehmar followed by Shumenov would be a good way of progressing. Neither of those two are exceptional but are good enough to find you out if you don't have the goods.

                    Yeah I agree,

In the future I could see Nathan being able to at least compete with any version of Froch
