Comments Thread For: Andy Lee To Ink With DiBella? Emanuel Steward Conflict

Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that middleweight contender Andy Lee (24-1, 18KOs) is possibly going to sign a promotional agreement with Lou DiBella. As previously reported, Lee will collide with unbeaten Scottish boxer Craig McEwen (19-0, 10KOs) in an HBO televised co-feature on March 12 at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. One of DiBella’s star boxers, Sergio Martinez, faces Sergei Dzinziruk in the HBO televised main event. [Click Here To Read More]

NICE. lee training with cotto is awesome. . . cotto can really help him learn how to deal with pressure fighters on the inside. andy lee is going to lift that strap off sergio next. he is the kryptonite for martinez's style.

Lee gets way too much **** for his loss to Vera. That fight imo was not the case of the better man winning much like the Pascal Dawson fight. I think if both of those fights were fought again both would dominate,

It's not so much the loss to Vera that have people doubting Lee... it's that he really hasn't done anything since then. I still have a lot of hopes for his career, but am disappointed that it's been such a slow road back.

In his defense, though, he was supposed to fight Vera next month before HBO nearly effed him out of a payday - he dropped the Vera fight when he was approved as an opponent for Sergio, only for HBO to renege on that promise.

Anyway, it all works out. Lee-McEwan is a much better (more competitive) matchup than Lee-Duddy, which was only put together as means to sell a few tickets so close to St. Patrick's Day.

I totally agree. That would have been a cash in only fight for Lee if he would have gotten it...
