Hey Bob how about Berto in the summer (Margs is shot), Martinez in the fall (The real middle champ) and than a Pacman rematch next year? If he could somehow win those fights or even 2 of 3 Cotto would be close to the top again. But Cheato and Gordo Jr? They're just padding Cotto's record to be another Pacman opponent.

As a cotto fan, I can honestly say that if Cotto hooked it up with Berto, then a Martinez headliner I will have been satisfied with everything he's achieved in his career. The two rematches couldn't hurt either, albeit at 154 and up.

i don't think cotto will be a successful promoter i mean if mayweather promotions isn't doing **** i doubt he will do anything as a promoter he's not as smart as Oscar or a bigger star then him

Cotto owns the local (PR) promotional events. It's not big time, but he's joint-venturing with Golden Boy on em. That alone seems to be more successful than Mayweather's enterprise. His focus is on providing a venue for the rising local talent. He's doing well in that sense.

your 100% right, all im saying is i can see what his plan is and thats to make chavez jr a star by feeding him cotto. cotto is gonna face mayorga and then margarito while chavez will countinue to fight nobodies. then when the time is right and cotto is at the end of his career, arum will feed him to chavez at 160 were cotto will be blowned up an just about shot.

I think its safe to say at this point that we won't be seeing Cotto at 147 again unless its against Pac or May, which IMO is a shame.

And, then have Pac challenge Cotto(more than likely at a catch-weight between 154-160) for his 9 title in 9 weight-classes?
