I'm personally not interested in seeing Mayweather fight Cotto right now. Cotto hasn't done enough to rebuild himself from his loss to Pac. Foreman was a step in the right direction. Mayorga is about 5 steps backwards. Fighting Margarito again will take it to an even 10.

Margarito now is a different fighter than he was when he fought Cotto

Back then, Margs threw a ton of punches per round and kept pressing his opponent. Now he just walks forward and throws half the punches he used to. I think Cotto could beat Margarito now, but it's a toss up if Margarito suddenly finds his 100p/rd old self again

Cotto vs Mayweather actually is a better matchup for Cotto because Cotto wouldn't have to fight on his back foot, because Mayweather doesn't pressure his opponents. We all know Cotto has stamina issues and has a hard time with fighters who he can't KO (Clottey, Margarito, some would even say Mosley). Cotto could've lost to Clottey and Mosley if either two of them had put more pressure on Cotto, especially in the last 3 rounds of those two fights.

Mayweather is a reactionary fighter, he isn't a brawler or pressure fighter, the two types that give Miguel problems.

Mayweather would be the heavy favorite to win, but I wouldn't count Cotto out, because his stamina wouldn't affect him in this fight.

Mayweather wouldn't lose a single round against Cotto. Then, the Pacwh*res would be screaming he beat a Pacquaio leftover.

          lol
at this point of their careers cotto is easy work for pbf......even if pbf took a long lay off, he would come back and dominate him. margo took the prime outta cotto, clottey beat him up some more and pacroid buried him. the yuri fight didn't prove anything to me.....mayorga nor margo would prove nothing me as well.

Cotto isn't done and represents a unique challenge for Mayweather. I would love to see them fight eachother or Martinez fight either before the year is up.

              Mayweather Against Anyone

Will Mayweather fight Cotto?...will Mayweather fight Manny?....will Mayweather keep his "perfect record"?.....sure he will....by not stepping into the ring with anyone.

Horus? Whatever, either way this is just filled with inaccuracies.

It is generally understood in the boxing world that Cotto beat Mosley. "Most people" don't think it was a draw. The vast majority of the world know that it was a close but clear decision.

Foreman beat Santos to win the JMW WBA title.....again, wrong.

And I love how people act like this is the first time Cotto has said Floyd's name. Cotto said things like this a ton back in 2007. Its just that half these people have an IQ of about 30 and think that if you don't yell and scream the guys name right after a fight on HBO than you have no interest in fighting him.

While I agree with everything you've said, I scored the Mosley/Cotto fight a draw the two times I watched the fight, and I didn't have a dog in the fight. I don't recall what the majority of people thought at the time, but I know that a sizable number of people scored it a draw.

Yeah should've happened then, do you remember why it didnt? or we just gonna forget everytime Floyd ducked a serious threat or retired??
