LOL @ Big Hands being mentioned like it matters!

I have always lol about guys with bigger hands being considered bigger punchers,or more scary! Bigger hands to me is sorta like bigger feet, god might have given guys naturally bigger hands or feet, but in boxing speed kills, bigger hands and feet to me usually equals slower and more awkward? I will use just a few examples of guys with smaller hands being better fighters 1) Tye Fields= Probably the biggest mitts around KO'd in 1 round against Barrett 2) Mike Tyson didn't have huge hands, but had crazy power and speed 3) Brock Lesnar= Big hands,he had the **** kicked out of him in 1 round against a smaller handed Cain Velazquez, who hit's way harder than Brock!

My list could go on and on but have you ever noticed that the big handed guys are usually dumber= AKA Mayorga and those guys usually get KTFO! LOL

Bigger hands = less padding around the knuckles because it's more stretched out, could lead to making a harder impact but I don't think it matters 'that' much.

Big hands is one of the reasons many people back in the day thought Liston hit so hard, they was like damn shanks.

          it matters a lot.

I've sparred with guys with big hand and guys with little hands before and the difference is between a bat in the face and a truck in the face.

Plus bigger hands don't get hurt so much, and don't get sore as fast as smaller hands.

It does make a lot of difference.

But some big guys hit hard with small fists.

it doesnt matter. there are two trains of thought on the size of fist thing anyway.

                  1. Large fist=more momentum behind the punch.
                  2. Small fist=the power is more concentrated into a small area.

Its like hitting someone with a bat(large fist) or a knife(small fist). both hurt like hell, which one does more damage depends on how and where the punch lands.

So have i,but it doesn't really make THAT big a difference in an actual fight man! Like i said, how big were Tysons and Marciano's hands? Punching power is determed by speed and weight lol not hand size! The guys with big paws are usually slower and more akward in my experiences! I think size can make a difference in a fight, but the size of a mans heart and will is usually the only one that matters most, and like i said, speed kills,i haven't seen many guys with huge hands who have blazing speed! :P
