we use to have directTV but our dish got ***ed up a lil
      think wind moved it
so we called to have them come fix it
they said it would be like 60bucks to come and who knows how much more to fix it
we toldem we shouldnt have to pay
      but they felt we did
so we told them ok we'd like to cancel our directTV service
      and the tone changed
      o sir wait wait
lemme see what we can do
ok whens a good time for u to have us send someone over
      free of charge
we were like nope no thanks. do you have DishTV's number by any chance?
Sounds like you got them good! Regardless of what it sound's like (cox) if it saves you money and offer's you more channel's then who cares? I use to love my satellite, and considered comcast inferior; well, not anymore. I much prefer my cable to a dish that doesnt like rain, wind, smog, etc....just too risky when it comes to fight time.

No digital cable in my town yet. The only PPVs they get are the WWE ones unless there's a HUGE boxing event and then you have to go down to the cable office and get a decoder to plug into the back of your Tv or VCR in front of the cable cord.

So Directv or Dish is the only choice for anyone wanting to get PPV. A couple smaller towns around here have already switched to digital since it was cheaper than updating their old format.

Yeah, I like that "Event price non-refundable" fine print at the bottom of the ads. Like it's not going to be raining somewhere...

and then they give you a discount if you buy it before the day of - but who knows what the weather will be like

It's hard to imagine that a small town like the one I live in has digital cable and yours doesnt!! Weird

The vast metropolis that I dwell in has less than 20,000 people. We're like an equidistant suburb forty minutes between Lafayette and Indianapolis.
