After PAC and PBF Retire, I Dont Want A New Cash Cow

    i hope there isn't one

although i would like to see fighters getting paid nicely, i dont want to see another cash cow

i want these up and coming, potential stars to keep wanting to fight and not cherrypicking for just top dollar

Oscar, Floyd, PAC...we all became fans of these guys because when they came up, they took on everyone to prove themselves

say what you want about Floyd's b1tch ass but from 130-135, he fought who the public wanted him to fight

    same with Oscar and PAC

when they got to that 'cash cow level' we didn't get it as much...heck, Oscar and Floyd decided to take vacation/retirements in between fights and would come back just to cash in

whoever emerges as The Next, whether its Khan or whoever, i want the $15-20mil paydays to disappear

earn your wealth thru a series of good fights...not one fight once in a while

plus, by eliminating these crazy $15-20mil paydays, maybe the promoters can spend some of that money on undercard fights/fighters and we can have more decent ppvs

Unfortunately the current model of boxing operations will always churn out cash cows . They may not be as big as Oscar/Manny/Floyd but there will be one. The pyramid is too high and steep and I don't see it changing anytime soon

This is precisely why I love the throwback fighters of the 40’s on up to the 70’s they had no choice but to fight it was their livelihood.

And in doing so they had no choice but to take on all comers giving us record breaking historic events in the process.

If boxing doesn't get a cash cow it means there won't be a fighter that stands above the rest or is exceptional which I don't want to happen.

Ultimately you want a cash cow like Ray Leonard or Ali who stands above the rest, bring in the numbers and continue to put on a good show.

Also if the fighters don't earn $20mil who should? The problem you're complaining about can be solved by not buying **** fights.

Cash cows will cease to be cash cows when people stop buying their fights.

I completely agree. If Pacquiao and Mayweather didn't have such big followings, they would have fought each other for the money. But because they're cash cows, they didn't need the money and didn't fight.

that's fine with me...let them all duke it out...boxing's not going anywhere...i'd rather have a solid card, from to top to bottom than one guy making all the money

Yeah I agree, boxing needs to get worse before it gets better.
