Kessler's injury is well documented and he was acting on the advice of a doctor. Mikkel is a man of honor. No reason not to trust him, he's a good person.

Dirrell was faking it to get out of fighting Ward in Oakland. There was no doctor's confirmation (except his promoter Dr. Shaw). Dirrell has no honor. He's a liar (and a cowardly runner in the ring).
    ....and Dr. Shaw was high.

Danish television followed Kessler to an eye examination in Germany. It pretty much filled an entire programme.

Dirrell stood his ground and beat the piss out of Arthur Abraham. The only coward was mental midget Abraham who couldn't take his beating like a man.

Only a true ****** like yourself would call Dirrell a runner after that fight.

The problem with Dirrell's injury is that he didn't say anything about it for months. His fight with Ward was supposed to happen in september. It was postponed 3 weeks before the fight, but still Dirrell hadn't said anything. Wasn't he training? If the injury is real, he couldn't train, because he still had symptoms. So why didn't he say anything at that time?

The other thing is that there were rumors about Dirrell and Ward not wanting to fight each other. First, they postponed the fight because they couldn't agree on a location, then Dirrell pulls out later.

Seriously, I don't like to doubt fighters, but his story doesn't add up at all.

Neither does Kessler's story. Dirrell fought 6 weeks before Kessler and has not showed any sign of a possible return. Kessler said initially he might retire yet here he is ready to get back in the ring after a 9 month break (a layoff that is common for uninjured fighters), and he believes he is entitled to basically passing all the way to the finals of The Super 6 without earning it.

It may shock some people to know this, but fighters have to fight to make money and Dirrell is not helping himself by sitting on the sideline.

Most people who were critical of Dirrell made cracks about how he would be back in the ring by March of this year. Obviously he will not, but it appears Mikkel Kessler will, probably against some bum like Gusmyl Pedermo while Froch and Ward are taking on world class opposition.

Kessler should wait to fight Bute vs Super Six Winner.
He could grab 3 belts in 1 fight!

Kessler used the injury excuse to get out of the tournament. He wants to sneak in after it's over and fight the winner.

In all fairness he should be made to face Lucian Bute to earn a crack at the Super Six winner.
