Honestly – I really hope to see Bute starting to fight these top guys of the division. As it stands from my point of view, he is very gifted, but his talent hasn’t been honoured, because of the opposition he tends to fight.
So I welcome him into the mix with anticipation.
With that said, I really can’t fathom, why anyone would think he deserves a crack at the winner of the super 6 before Kessler. Bute – contrary to Kessler - opted not to be in the tournament. Kessler beat one of the semi-finalists (Froch), who beat another of the semi-finalists (Abraham), which in all fairness gives the impression, that a more then possible final would be Ward vs. Kessler. But then Kessler got injured. In that situation Kessler could have tried to keep his WBC belt by not accepting status as Champion Emeritus, thus possibly removing the belt from the tournament, since we all know how a boxer and a promotional team can delay the mandatory defences and what not.
By giving up the belt in fairness to the tournament, he deserves to fight the winner –if the winner still has got the WBC belt - when he is ready. At least he deserves it much more then Bute, who chose not to be included from the get go.
By the way, Kessler stated from the beginning of his injury, that a recovery would take 9 months (as ordered by the doctors). So there is nothing miraculous about it as stated by an earlier poster…Comment

If Mikkel says it was a legit injury, it's a legit injury. What has he ever done for any one to throw doubt upon him? He's nothing but an absolute gentleman. Why would he drop out of the Super Six after his best win?Comment

Yeah complaining to see double than riding off in the sun in a expensive car. Fuck outta here
Than you could say the same for Dirrell. Honestly I dont believe both. He could be an absolute gentleman but quit acting as if you know the man. Boxing has dirty politics.Comment

Try to google the exact eye-condition that Kessler has been diagnosed with, and you’ll without much hassle realise, that his vision is only affected within certain areas. It’s not like he’s freakin’ blind. But had he continued to ignore the warning signs, it could have ended that way.
That’s why as well I believe BatNelson is afraid, that he’ll start fighting again, even though his vision hasn’t been much improved. I am actually afraid he is forcing his recovery.Comment

Kessler's injury is well documented and he was acting on the advice of a doctor. Mikkel is a man of honor. No reason not to trust him, he's a good person.
Dirrell was faking it to get out of fighting Ward in Oakland. There was no doctor's confirmation (except his promoter Dr. Shaw). Dirrell has no honor. He's a liar (and a cowardly runner in the ring).Last edited by The Hammer; 01-21-2011, 08:57 AM.Comment

Biased post. If Dirrell didn't live in the same area as you, who wouldn't support his lying and acting.
