The Hatton that fought Mayweather was NOTHING like the Hatton that fought Manny... Mayweather had already checked his chin and broke his will... Manny simply finished off a fallen star, albeit in VERY IMPRESSIVE fashion...

      OSCAR... Have A Seat!

I really liked Oscar as fighter. Was pained to see him take beatings by Bernard Hopkins and Manny Pacquiao. Was hopeful he'd bring some etchics and class to promoting Boxing, from the thieves we've been subject to for years in King and Arum. But his latest trash talk, putting it on Pacquiao & Co, for not getting him signed to fight either Marquez or Mayweather, is pure classless from Golden Boy. Pacquiao in fighting Cotto, Clottey, Margarito of late, are all tough opponents Marquez and Mayweather wouldn't fight. Mayweather has loved fighting nobodys, or smaller, one dimensional fighters, in order to make trip after trip to the bank, in a HEALTHY way. Pacquiao is more than active, fighting larger men, creating his healthy paychecks along the way, and now Oscar has a problem with it. WHO HAS MARQUEZ BEATEN ABOVE 140? His last fight, after getting off the canvas. He looked horrible against Mayweather, a larger fighter. He's beaten nobody. Mayweather had TWO shots to sign with Manny, and he opted not to, and go into hiding, claiming drug testing was the concern. Drug testing hasn't been of concern for the long line of fighters who have fought and/or are waiting to fight Manny NOW! Only MAYWEATHER had a problem with that. Hatton, Clottey, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, even Oscar himself weren't concerned at the time of his own drumming to Manny about drug testing.

Oscar is sour-g****s, because his Promotion Company is struggling. Mayweather has his OWN promotional company and really doesn't need Oscar, but for the simple fact, Floyd must still owe Oscar money, for Oscar paying off Floyd's $6m tax lien to the IRS, hence why he's still "Co-Promoting" with Floyd for what would be the last three Mayweather Fights... AND Oscar wanting paid back that $6millie, can't get Mayweather to step up, and can't get Marquez to beat anyone above 140. NOT TO MENTION, sour g****s that Mosley left, founded his own promotional company, and is locked in to make $10M-$12M fighting Pacquiao, leaving Oscar STILL on the sidelines... Good for Mosley; if he can get it, make it, because he doesn't have much time left. Oscar was no doubt working to get his "Mexican Brother" Marquez the payday, saying he was willing to step aside from the promotion, so to get his "brother" one last big payday on his way out, because Floyd won't fight, and Oscar putting Mosley on hold; very obvious arangement for Oscar. Sorry it's worked out that way for Oscar. He understands going out and getting the biggest payday available to you, because he did it as a fighter too. Mayweather would obviously be the biggest payday, but Floyd is afraid to fight. So that leaves Oscar treading water.

Floyd went up to 154 to beat Oscar in a competitive fight... A year later Manny made Oscar come down to 147 (where he hadn't fought in almost 10 years) to fight...

Marquez couldn't even hit Mayweather after pretty much hitting Manny at will...

I think its safe to say that Floyd would be and should be the favorite...
Its funny and very bias how you portray each fight, you make no mention of Hatton going up in weight to fight Floyd, but explicitly make the point about Manny making Oscar to come down (which he didn't) and dont mention JMM going up two weight classes.

Anyway if pushed I have Floyd winning.

They didnt do so bad? Hatton got floored and DLH stopped throwing punches at 154. Marquez was shut out from the first bell t the last. Floyd was bloated at 154 so Icould argue that DLH didnt fight the best Floyd.

Common opponents have the most merit when it comes to these types of opinions.

We'll see what oldman freelancer Mosley has to say after his bout with Pacquiao.

compared to the mayweather fights they did really bad imo and i agree that DLH didnt fight the best mayweather but i also think mayweather didnt fight the best DLH

Mayweather is just like Roy Jones, Jr.

THEY BOTH HAND PICKED NON-THREATENING OPPONENTS THEIR ENTIRE CAREER. Jones had an agreement with HBO, that he and ONLY he determined who his next fight would be, hence all the tomatoe cans he fought until he zigged when he should have zagged, and signed to fight Tarver the first time. Jone's career, came to a crashing close.

Mayweather has done the same thing. He's fought smaller, one dimensional, lead with your chin, type fighters his entire career. Don't tell me about Corrales back in the day at 130lbs or so.... Zab Judah almost knocked out Floyd at around 130lbs! Once Floyd grew up to the 140's, he fought the likes of Gatti, Hatton, Marquez, and a 39 year old Shane Mosley (whom Floyd wouldnt fight in Shane's prime), whom nearly knocked him out in round 2 (nearly making a fatal mistake there). He fought Oscar, which he wanted no more of that sort of threat. Most watching that fight, felt Oscar won that night, Floyd got hit way too much, and too hard, and he so didn't want to take that kind of risk again, that Floyd Mayweather walked away from a guaranteed $20M for a rematch with Oscar... Uh-uh... he didn't want that kind of fight again! Floyd had a shot to fight Manny Pacquiao, and opted for a much smaller, 38 year old Juan Manuel Marquez, outweighing Marquez by 15 pounds on the night of the fight. Gutless. Mayweather wouldn't fight Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, or Manny. Mayweather wouldn't step up and fight the Winky Wright's and Vernon Forrest's and the Juan Vargas' or the Felix Trinidad's in their prime, all larger fighters that Shane Mosley stepped up to fight, win, lose or draw. Mayweather is pathetic, just like I found Roy Jones, Jr. to be. Neither of them are the legends of Boxing like Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, Oscar Dela Hoya, or even Shane Mosley, all of whom made careers fighting the best of the best, multiple times, Win, Lose, or Draw. Those greats had CHARACTER. Mayweather and Jones only wanted the easiest route to the bank.
