its all about the best fights and the best matchups. hopefully they will follow
through with this plan.

140...best division in boxing. AND if Marquez moves up, even better!
Bantamweight: Montiel, Donaire, Moreno, Agbeko, Mares, Darchinyan, Perez, Koki Kameda, Morel.
There's so many elite/top-level fighters at Bantamweight, and the best thing is they are all fighting each other (e.g. Donaire-Montiel; Agbeko-Mares; Darchinyan-Perez)
Light-Welterweight: Khan, Bradley, Maidana, Alexander, Ortiz, Peterson, Judah.
Bradley and Khan are the only one's in the top-20 P4P fighters in the world. Where as Bantamweight has 3 at least (Montiel, Donaire, Moreno) and possibly even Agbeko (who has wins over Darchinyan and Perez).
Kotelnik and Malignaggi have moved up to Welterweight and JMM is still at Lightweight, and also Urango's inactive.

anyhow, i am surprised at all the people jumping off the Alexander wagon after his fight against Kotelnik. if he does end up losing to Bradley, i honestly don't see him taking on Maidana right away. the choice that makes the most sense is Judah vs. Mabuza winner (in St. Louis), to get him that belt.
but i do see Alexander vs. Maidana in the horizon, and i see it turning out to be a fun fight.
personally i see Maidana making Alexander fold, but seeing as Maidana is easy to hit, i would not be surprised if he pulls out a Urango type win in there. should be a great fight!
and as for Bradley vs. Khan, i don't understand how people think its not a 50/50 - 55/45 type fight (in favor of Khan).
i think Bradley is being underrated because of his "lack of power" and height/reach. but i see him tagging Khan quite a few times (who does not have the best defense in the world) and working the body often. should be a great fight! (although i do think Khan wins a close competitive fight)
0:45 ... 1:05 , punches like this will land and stun Khan (i shit you not, Bradley can punch. finish? hell no.)
really loving the bantam and jr. welter divisions though!! and i'm looking forward to how things turn out in these divisions!

But yes, i can definitely see Bradley hurting Khan, he's VERY accurate. I can also see Khan hurting Bradley with body shots, which no-one seems to have brought up before. Is Bradley as tough as Maidana?

but i agree, Khan will not be backing up as much as he did against Maidana. and it will switch often between who presses the action.
and the thing about body punching is, it leaves the head open. which is why i think he stopped throwing it against Maidana, due to fear of getting caught.
Khan will hurt Bradley to the body, but he will get countered by Bradley when he does. (this is one thing Maidana could not do)
and remember that clean shot he took against Holt? that had KO written all over it, i was very surprised at how Bradley got up and went back to the game plan.
this will be a close fight, and i can honestly see it going either way.Last edited by Deep Blue 1997; 01-17-2011, 11:51 AM.
