This would be the best thing that could happen for the fighters and the fight fans. The fighters will get mad recognition for fighting top guns one after the other and the fans will get the best fights available at 140 and the ultimate winner can fight JMM....

Come August 2011 the JWW rankings will be:

      Lineal Champion: Amir Khan (WBA/WBO)
      1) Timothy Bradley
      2) Marcos Maidana
      3) Devon Alexander
      4) Juan Manuel Marquez (IBF*)
      5) Zab Judah
      6) Victor Ortiz
      7) Lamont Peterson
      8) Kaizer Mabuza
      9) Lucas Matthysse
      10) Paul McCloskey

      * JMM will fight the winner of Judah/Mabuza and will therefore get the IBF title.

great in theory, in practice i cant see the loser wanting to jump in the ring with Maidana straight away.

Khan might not fihgt the winner straight away either, although im a lot more optimistic that that fights happens

i agree...where do u think the WBC will end up then? vacant? its a sad reflection on the sport that bradley beats witter (wbc) and holt (wbo) and alexander beats witter (wbc) and urango (ibf) and if bradley beats alexander he only ends up with the wbo with wbc vacant and ibf going to one of two obviously inferior fighters! damn these sanctioning bodies man!

Well. In bradley-alexander I don't expect either to punish each oth severely physically. this is more of a matchup who will box better and have more moments. So going into a fight with maidana next won't hurt. Maidana took some shots in the khan fight and I'm sure he won't mind. If they really want to get back to the top. Fighting maidana next makes sense.

Maidana would be up for it, Bradley or Alexander (well more their team) would probably want an easier fight, preferably for a vacant belt against a weaker challenger. Its not so much the physical damage im thinking of in preventing this being made straight away, more the threat of 2 losses in a row.

Id be happy if its made though, and they'd get a lot of credit just for taking the fight.

Bradley beats both Devon and Maidana imo, Devon v Maidana i dont know how it plays out. Id favour Devon, but not by much

140 at it again, hopefully the fight fans don't criticize too much. This little mini turney is just what the doctor ordered for the bed ridden, sickly sport called boxing!!I imagine a lot of people are gonna be surprised when Alexander beats Bradley though, but not me.

If/when Devon loses expect to see him finally take Zab Judah's challenge..

The WBC will be vacant. There's an elimination bout between Olusugen and Ali Cheebah, the winner will fight for the vacant title I'm guessing (if Bradley beats Alexander like I expect him to, thus vacating the title).

I won't be surprised if the WBC let JMM fight for the WBC title, him being Mexican and all. Or I won't be surprised if they make the winner of Alexander-Maidana the WBC champ.
