No, he is not. They are back in AZ. Benavidez sr. says that roach was simply too busy for Jr. while roach says that there were issues with benavidez sr. I think it is a combination of the two. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that roach has his hands full year around. When pacquiao fights, everyone takes a backseat. Add the fact that benavidez sr. would sometimes disagree with roach on certain aspects of benavidez jr. training. Too many egos involved.

I'm glad he broke ties with roach, it makes the journey a Lot more self gratifying since he is going all in with his pops and not with a known boxing trainer..that duo was winning chips before roach,I know it's alot different in the AM's and the pros since now he is fighting world class fighters and not just national fighters,but he is still young and he looks very fluid before when I saw him at 16-17 y/o in am's.plus he's with top rank so arum will make sure his path is well planned out.can't wait til one day he fights against a roach trained fighter in the future,the win will be so much sweeter.Comment
