I guess Bob Arum was right all along. He doesn't give a **** about the hardcore boxing fans who only wants quality fights because there's no money to be had. He would rather cater to the die hard fans of the boxers under his stable who doesn't care who they fight, and the ever reliable casual fans, who diligently buys names who's famously recognizable, not the fight or the match-up itself...
Devon Alexander only fought 2 times last year, and LOST to Kotelnik.
Timothy Bradley only fought 1 time last year, and he went 12 rounds with Abregu.

How the **** can they build a fan bas like this? Good lord!

Once again this is the same guy reporting the same information. I think I would believe a guy that works for ESPN over someone that works for something called the Examiner.

I guess somebody didn't tell them that Detroit is like a Ghost Town right now, Economy is VERY BAD in Detroit, nobody has money to spend on Tickets for this fight in Detroit...Both Promoters...FAILED!
Metro Detroit area is no ghost town- still one of the largest metro areas in the nation. The economy is down, but more than enough people with money to spend on sporting events. The problem is sports fans don't know who the fighters are and don't really care. If it isn't on ESPN, then it is off the average sports fans' radar.
