Let's Talk About The Belts Situation and How It Can Be Fixed

Im sick and tire of this money sucking parasite organizations that serve no purpouse. Look at how many belts each Organization have per division:

    WBC:
    Interim WBC Champion
    Silver WBC Champion
    WBC Regular Champion
    Champion Emeritus
WBC Diamon Belt - For Special Fights

    IBF:
    IBF Champion

    WBO:
    Interim WBO Champion
    WBO Champion

    WBA:
    Interim WBA Champion
    WBA Regular Champion
    WBA Super World Champion
    WBA Champion in Recess

Note: This is not counting all the regional belts.

Theres no purpose in having all this belts, anyone can call himself a champion this days. All this belts diminishes the concept of being a champion, diminishes boxers accomplshments, empty their pockets and confuse the casual fan. Hell some of us hardcore fans get confused from time to time with all this belts, sanctioning bodies and their ******, corrupt and biased ruelings.

Not to mention the corrupt comssions and promoter that are destroyoing our beloved sport.

I think they should make a fightes union or something and stick it to this parasites and stop paying for their sanctionin fees, that are a scam because you should not be paying for a title you earn.

Opinions and suggestion on how can this be fixed are very welcome

1 champion per weight class.Every other sanctioning organization should go from champion,to championship contender. That way if a man wants to be the champion,he has to fight the top guy.

Example:instead of wbo champion,he'd be wbo championship contender.

Thats a start but why have all this sanctioning bodies? I mean what purpose they serve beside collecting money?

To me 1 belt/weight-class is not really that great of an idea in this era.

To me if all the commissions would take a page out of the JBC and just recognize the WBA and WBC as official belts it would be ideal.

How realistic would that be? Who knows...

But, if there will be 4 major titles per division. Then there should be just 1 belt per sanctioning per division.

No super, interim, or silver etc etc.

That would be some funny **** if every champ drop his belt and tell all the sanctioning bodies to shove it

It's not going to happen, but I think it would be a start if once champions actually become recoginzed, they stay in the division and defend. It makes the division have an established champion with multiple title defenses.

Look at Bradley-Khan. That's probably for the lineal 140 title. Instead of them defending it, they will probably move up to 140 instead of defending it because they worked hard to get there. Now most of them dont want to work hard to keep it and move up to find bigger paydays.

The purpose to keep is for the other fighters. Some fights only happen is because people want to unify. If a lesser known fighter who is not popular doesn't have a sanctioned belt. He may never get the recognition he probably deserves.

And, if you have 1 belt per sanctioning body. The corruption would be less no?
