Who told Kermit that anybody wanted to see him fight? After that stunt he pulled against P-Will he should just retire he has flopped in all his big fights! I would rather see Berto/Ortiz any day!

Anyone who thinks Ortiz can beat Berto is delusional. That speed and power would eat Victor up. Cintron is right about Ortiz unable to defend himself.

Ortiz just isn't good in the ring. The only thing that can save his career at this point is experience. They shouldn't be worrying about getting Ortiz a belt as much as they should be worrying about getting him experience.

I would just line up a handful of fights for him at 140 and 147 or just 147, not easy fights but fights that will offer some resistance, some fights that will thicken his skin for the next year and a half to accumulate his experience instead of just trying to cash out on the kid by throwing him in the ring where he'll get brutalized.

Ortiz can still be worth the money in the long run if Goldenboy just keeps him busy for a little longer I think. Ortiz sucks as a boxer but they can at least try to do something right for him by getting him as much experience as they can. If Ortiz doesn't learn anything and still sucks after that, than that will be his own fault.

I'm still trying to figure this out. Kermit Cintron is talking trash? Superman Kermit Cintron? Come on, man. Stay quiet and try not to do something like look for the nearest exit as soon as your opponent feints like he's gonna do something. Yeah, Cintron has the skills to beat Berto. He has the skills to beat a lot of people but doesn't have the heart to beat most of them and I'd put my money on Berto to embarrass him.

You're implying Ortiz has the ring generalship, ring savy, and toughness that Collazo has. Which is laughable when you try to compare the two.

Yeah Ortiz can punch and is fast but I think it's evident now that he's not seeing everything in the ring. Because he has those attributes but he's getting picked apart not only by boxers like Peterson but by guys that should be fairly easy to figure out in Maidana and Ortiz couldn't figure him out.

I don't like Berto either but he's far more of a complete fighter than Ortiz is.

And over all he has the intangibles that Ortiz doesn't.

I really like Berto as a fighter, but if he doesn't fight Citron after that verbal assault, then that says a lot about him as a man.
