Well I'm glad they're taking some sort of stand with Haymon.

I'd pay 500k for this fight. If they don't like it they can go to showtime.

          **** this fight!

HBO can't let berto keep feeding on jr WWs. at least let berto have 1-2 tune up at WW and look impressive before you throw ortiz at berto. I swear GBP has the *****iest matchmakers. And dibella is nothing but a glorified booking agent. berto is being protected by haymon. bailey and ortiz? come the **** on.

fight a real WW... someone like cintron or clottey. I'm tired of berto's cherrypickin ass.

Well one, Lee-Duddy is not going to be the main even. Is an undercard fight.

And, two I don't think they're paying more than the 2.4mil that they put up to get the Martinez-Dzinziruk fight.

Dibella just add it that fight at the undercard to sell tickets. Since both have a solid fanbase in the NY area and also is around St Patrick day weekend.

More than likely Berto-Ortiz will be a main event.

                2 different situations.

I like this fight on paper....you never really know what Ortiz will perform like....but it sounds good. Maybe Ortiz should get an interim fight at welter, get acquainted with the weight a lil bit, and get his confidence up with a good win.

Cintron is nowhere near worthy of this fight. You don't swan dive out of the ring into a title shot in the next match up. You don't embarrass a network and get your next fight on that network. That leads me to Clottey. How would he deserve a title shot? 2 straight losses and a mega fight on a major network in which he didn't even try to win. His goal was to survive. Real worthy
What is all of this deserve/worthy crap?

Some how Marg wasn't worthy to fight Floyd but Mitchell, Bruseles, amd Zab coming off a lost were worthy.

Berto doesn't deserve to fight Pac. But, somehow Clottey, Marg, Mosley were.

Now Cintron/Clottey isn't worthy to fight Berto. But, Ortiz(who hasn't done a damn thing at 140 besides going on a senior citizen tour), Hernandez, and a Mexican cop(who got fired for taking the damn fight) are all deserved challengers.

Nice logic people use at boxingscene.

it's not logic jro, you need to understand people's perspective.

try and imagin you're talking to a teenage girl that loves Justin Beiber, everything revolves around Justin Bieber and everything else sucks except anything that justin bieber does.

lol, cintron's not worthy, but ortiz is........
