Hydroxycut does nothing for performance it's used to shed pounds. It's obivous that Margarito was having trouble making the 150 pounds. I think he would have performed better at 154 than 150. It's Freddy's plan to weaken guys for Pacquiao so that their set up for the Knock out. I think Margarito was feeling weak the day of the fight and took Hydroxycut and drank coffee to give him energy to fight after being wieght drained.

But why would Margo try to take it on fight night...he already made weight but the time he was in the dressing room getting ready for the fight. He must have believed that this was another form of "energy" kinda like those energy pills he has been taking for previous fights.

Viewers of last November's Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito pay-per-view will recall that shortly before the fight began, controversy arose when the over the counter weight loss supplement, Hydroxycut, was found in Margarito's locker room. Margaresto seems to be willing to do whatever it takes to be competitive: plaster of paris, ephedra, energy drinks or pills, etc. The guy is an average fighter with no punching power that glorified his career based on some illegal moves, and some that if not illegal are a bit su****ious. We are looking at a rerun of the Luis Resto story.
