Evander doesn't party, he just likes the ladies.

On those nights he was in bed by 8.30

Sad to see Holyfield under water financially after earning (and I mean EARNING) a couple hundred million in the ring. He should be retiring so he can await entrance into the HOF.

Evander is more deserving of a shot than all of the last opponents of the 3 champions : Harrisson, Briggs and Peter. And Evander would have been way more competitive in those fights.

Im not saying he'd blow them out of the water, but even at his age, hes not that much inferior to them, plus he has more experience, knowledge and technique. So for one fight, Holyfield vs. Arreola...I think Arreola would win, but a close 115-113 type deal where holyfield fans say he was robbed. No contender will fight him because its a high risk, low reward fight. Win, and you beat a 50 year old who has put together a bad record over the last decade, lose and you're done.

That being said, here is where Holyfield is wrong. He trains, he has knowledge etc...but the Klitschko's and Haye are doing the exact same thing he is doing. Just look at their bodies. They are working out every day, they are eating right, and the Klitschko's have their doctorate in this stuff. So they are doing what hes doing, but are younger and healthier. They are sharper since they can be more active and spar more, they are in better shape since they still have testosterone levels...they are sooo much better that no amount of training would matter for Haye.
Trust me man , Evan has at least as high testosterone levels .

The fact is that Vander did beat Valuev clearly. I think I gave Valuev 3 rounds and that was being generous so Vander deserves some paydays if thats what he wants. He has put the work in.
this is actually a pretty good idea, young Holyfield would have given any fighter a tough time, but old Holyfield has no chance against the Klitschkos or Haye. But against Toney(now that Toney doesnt really train for fights) Tarver ,and Jomes if he wants to venture back into the Heavies as he suggested a few months, back aal could be some decent money fights for Holyfield, and would be competive

Why fight Vitali, Wlad and Haye, I thought Holyfield was planning to outlive them.

**this really is sad to see, because as others mentioned Holy isn't high enough in the rankings to get a shot at either Vitali or Haye

so he takes on much lower ranked boxers and gets wins, but it doesn't really advance Holyfield toward an Alphabet title shot. And the older Holyfield gets, the harder it'll be for him to get a big name fight

it's just sad to see, and I really wish it would stop.
