A white fighter can't claim whites are superior in boxing, so yes, if one did it would RIGHTFULLY cause an uproar.

Now if a white hockey player stated that whites were DOMINANT hockey players I doubt it would get any attention at all. Blacks certaintly wouldn't give a damn.

It's only when a BLACK MAN says something about superiority (in any way) does it become FRONT PAGE HEADLINES.

I don't think that's true what about irish fighters? Polish fighters? Russian fighters? Ukrainian? etc? I think there are a lot of white fighters that are not only proud about their ethnicity they exploit it, and rightfully so.

I think clearly because of hopkins past "I'll never lose a whiteboy" Calzaghe pre-fight hype comment, people are taking this way out of context. He didn't say anything derogatory to anybody. Just made a simple comment that most african americans are athletic.

And of course that simple remark sparked a 50+ page thread.

Hopkins is specifically talking about african AMERICAN's he's not talking about black people as a world wide race, he's specifically talking about americans.
