Maybe Wlad wanted to keep up his end of the deal with his German broadcaster, giving them an April fight maybe

    How does Wlad/Chisora affect Haye?
the promotion of haye v klitschko. also klitschko could get cut, injured again or even lose (unlikely but stranger things have happened). there's a couple of pretty major reasons for you.

damn wlad really pulled haye's card. he is nothing but a fraud and like wlad said he has hasnt really done anything of significance as a heavy weight. put up or shut up haye.

yep and i'm pretty sure i remember bob arum at the time saying that it wasn't enough time to promote a fight that big effectively. in fact its probably one of the (many) reasons that the fight never happened in march. lets not re-open the can of worms on that one though.

Well we've already confirmed that nobody has any say on Sky's requirements, because nobody knows anything about them

If Wlad was to get injured, that would be 2 months in advance... plenty of time to organise a fight for the same July 2nd date if necessary, or August if Haye wanted more time

Haye left Wlad with two weeks to find an opponent, in June 2009

It would also be Wlad's doing, he would take the blame for taking a fight so close

Adamek is willing to fight Wlad, he has no problem with a September fight, which would be 2 months after a fight with Haye

If Haye was half as interested as he says he is, he would've signed that July fight yesterday

Haye would've brought up Sky's worries, if there were any
But that's not his problem apparently, his problem is with the Chisora fight and being "forced" to face a mandatory, which he knows he can sidestep

So if we know the mandatory can be avoided, it must be the Chisora fight bothering him?

when david haye first decided to go in the heavyweight division i was one of his biggest fans & was actually rooting for him to beat the k bros & breath some life in a very atrocious division. since then ive done a complete 180 & have a newfound respect for the k bros & utter disdain at david haye.

his foray into heavyweight has been a disgrace.

The only real concern is that Wlad would get injured against Chisora, but that can happen at anytime, Haye showed no interest by just pulling out of negotiations instead of trying to negotiate a later date.

For all you noobs out there. Take note:

Haye can sign the contract legally. There is absolute nothing stopping him, apart from the Chisora bout because he doesn't want Wladimar to take a interim bout before fighting him.

Oscar De la Hoya and Bernard Hopkins took bouts before there schduled date. If Haye was to sign the contract then it's really no different to what both Hoya and Hopkins did.

Do you seriously think Haye thinks Chisora is going to knock Wladimar out? Ok, Yes it's absolutely possible that Chisora could land that one money shot but in reality Wladimar should annihilate this man, so why is Haye kicking up a fuss?

If the WBA threatened to strip him of his WBA title then he could fight Chagaev, or his mandatory in March. He'd have even more time than Wladimar to get ready for the fight still. Nobody is coming off worse.

It really isn't impossible for this bout to happen. Haye should approach the WBA on the whole sitaution, he will then find where he stands. He isn't doing any that from my knowledge.. how does he know it's not possible for him to make the bout without contacting them? Haye may even be given a pass on Chagaev, which allows him to fight without even stepping foot in the ring prior to Wladimar.

The blame doesn't all lay on Haye shoulders, but the fact remains that - Haye can sign the contract. Haye isn't getting the ruff end of the deal, as both fighters would take on their mandatorys and both would have the same amount of time to get ready for a showdown.

Haye should just get this bout sign and sealed. He belives Klitschko is an easy nights work for him, he will knock these bums out - so there is absolute no reason not to sign.

And even if he has to take both Chagaev and Klitschko outwith within 6 months, the HW is full of bums, it's all easy for him, no one can stop him etc... I could go on.. What's he waiting for???????

Haye is retiring in October, so time is running short. Haye has to go through 6 months of hell, then he can retire, after beating Wladimar. Haye can lye down and live the high life, knowing that he achieve the goal he dreamed of doing. He will never be questioned again.

Think about it guys, 6 damn months of sheer determination and will, and he may become a real superstar.
