I remember watching a live coverage of Pac-JMM 2 in the Philippines and one of the commetators (the most credible among them, actually) was Donaire. And guess what, he scored the fight like I did before the official scorecard was announced, 115-112 (or something close) in favor of JMM! But before Pac's horde of fanatics could come out to the streets to protest, Donaire in an interview said the fight was too close it could either way (to assuage the obvious anger from the fanantics). Question, is the score 115-112 a close one? Don't think so, and I wouldn't be surprised if Pac is still until now seething with anger over the perceived insult.Comment

Pacquiao camp is not a problem for Donaire. Manny will always welcome any Pinoy fighter with both hands... His biggest problem is the Pinoy market. His feud with his own parents doesn't sit well with the Filipinos who value respect for parents highly. Is there trouble brewing between the two best fighters from the Philippines?

His disrespectful media statements against his own father Donaire Sr is regarded by many as unfilipino. A few more of these statements and we will see him as a hated Pinoy boxer in his own country.
Jr. must rein in his wife.Comment

I ain't up on that **** man... What did Donaire say? Yeah thats a big one, Pinoys don't like that. Look at Manny, his dad done abandoned him and ate his dog, and still Manny gives him front row seats in a big fight.Pacquiao camp is not a problem for Donaire. I dont think that is the reason.
I think Donaire jr should understand Filipino family traits.
Pac was abandoned by his father but in spite of his success he never disrespected his old man...
This may look like no connection at all with the issue at hand, but I think some people in Pac's camp see this as a character failure of jr.Comment

when did Donaire make those comments about his dad? because weren't filipinos not really feeling him already to begin with? i think it's because he may be too americanized? and they cant really relate to him? I know alot of filipinos here in the states like him. haven't really heard much from those in the Philippines thoughComment
