Personally, when you look at the fighters, it's not close for me.

Juan Manuel Marquez has faced the OVERALL better opposition.

Both have faced Mayweather and both were FOR THE MOST PART beaten down. So, you can take Mayweather out of the equation. If you'd like to cling to the fact that Mosley had Mayweather hurt, best of luck to you.

You could make a case for both having equal quality of opponents. However, I just feel he's the better fighter, in terms of skills, in terms of opponents and just in terms of lasting legacy.

Also, Marquez has met only ONE style that he had trouble with. Floyd Mayweather, Shane has atleast three.

this is a great question, but i would go with the dude in my avy, JMM.
for me, shane hit a bump with those four losses to vernon and winky, then after that he never really caught my attention until the margo destruction.
marquez has his share of losses; he made a mistake going to fight john and floyd, and everyone knows about the pac fights.
also the roid situation w/ shane, idk.... both are great, and will have something else in common, after may 7th, theyll both have losses to floyd and manny

Floyd lied and violated that contract stipulation, so that he can come much heavier, and weighed-in about 158-161lbs when he stepped in the ring with JMM.

The whole steroids deal with Shane really affected my vote. If it wasn't for that, I would have voted for Shane. I'm also a fan of Dinamita. He's a great fighter, but I mean, he's known as the warrior that went at it with Manny Pacquiao. I remember that's how HBO 24/7 hyped him for the Mayweather bout. I still voted for Warquez.

good question, although if they fight today I think Mosley beats JMM, but IMHO JMM is P4P better fighter and have similar career and longevity .... I vote for JMM!
