I get the feeling you guys are gonna be disappointed. Mayorga seems to have calm down somewhat (particularly against Mosley where the best he came up with was pink gloves and calling him old). Last I remember he said he respects Cotto as a person but not as a fighter, which is as good compliment as he's given any of his opponents.

I see it similarly. Mayorga is too big to let himself get blown out by Cotto, not only that, but Cotto's leaky defense and Mayorga's power will make it so Cotto can't just go all out offensively.

That said, I doubt Mayorga does much core work, so Cotto's body punches will take Ricardo's legs away and might stop him.

For the lead up to the fight, the over/under is at 1 physical altercation?

Would Junito lose his cool and fight at the press conference if Mayorga mentioned the late Cotto Sr.?

I'm hoping Mayorga understands that this truely is a do or die in terms of future paydays and marketability. The truth is , he has calmed down a bit, and if he's in shape, and not just de-hydrated at 154, he is a big problem for Miguel. The punishment Cotto has taken at the hands of Pacquiao and at the possible bricks of Margarito has no-doubt shortened his boxing longevity. I remember watching those last two rounds against Pac thinking that he was losing years with every passing minute of brutal punishment. Cotto is ripe for the pickins in my opinion if Mayorga fully prepares for this one.

He understands that this is probably his last big paycheck.
