Is HBO the only network this can happen on?
Showtime wants Pascal v hopkins. It will do way more business than Pascal V Tarver.

Pascal V Hopkins did big business as far as rating went for showtime.

Right now, as far as legacy goes, Hopkins is the bigger fight for Pascal.

      Matrix,

I hope that's not just words for Chad. Maybe now that he saw Hopkins blueprint, he can beat Pascal. I'd love to see Chad change up his attitude when he fights and maybe his style a little to become more offensive and exciting with Steward.

Fights HBO's been getting ****d on by the way. He could fight off TV and try and develop a fanbase a la adamek.

Hype and excitement for the fight?

That's what he pays his promoters for.

Even if that is the case and it probably is, the fight isn't so much more of a draw than with Dawson that it would be worth the legal trouble.

Hopkins might be a legend but at no point was he any kind of a cash cow, in the states Pascal/Dawson does poorly, Pascal/Hopkins does slightly better but not great. Pascal is the ticket seller with two guys who can't sell tickets up in Montreal so it would be in his best interest I would think to see if he can get this Chad rematch out of the way, drop his strap and maybe fight Hopkins later.

which is one of his problems as well, OBVIOUSLY.

just all signs on dawson's general malaise. doesn't realize he's paper thin, he has nothing to fall back on but mommy hbo's nipple. he's lucky hbo sold their soul for him and was willing to lose all that money on him.

i don't see him getting the easy money he's been getting for having terribly uneventful fights and absolutely no paying fanbase

I was disgusted with the way he was constantly bending at the waist vs Pascal. All Pascal had to do was jump in & throw punches, didn't matter if they landed,Dawson's bending Made it look good for Pascal.

Maybe he's bored having all these rematches, maybe he's comfortable with his dough, maybe he's just not the firey type, but I just don't see the same guy that put it on adamek. I don't see the guy that used to go for ko's before he got on hbo.
agreed I think a lot of his "turmoils" is more smokescreen than trying to do what's best for his career
