I think slick is a good term, but it is certainly not some set standard.Heres me being unbull****:
THERE IS NO ****ING THING AS SLICK IN A BOXING SENSE. ITS JUST A MADE UP WORD USED GENERICALLY TO DESCRIBE RANDOM QUALITIES IN A BOXER THAT ARE IRRELEVANT WHEN IT COMES TO ACTUAL MATCHUPS.
The people on this website get so hung up on very broad, loose terms that are redefinable by every individual to begin with.
Boxing is so much more indepth than that. stop bsing about a ******ed word like 'slick' and actually look into the specific movements and strategies of each individual boxer.
Most words used to describe boxers are like that though, it is impossible to pin one guy down with one or a few words.
It is a complex sport or else it would not be called the sweet science, then again that is another way to define slick those who make the sweet science truly look sweet.Comment

It was only a half joke because I understand why it was a bad comparison but I hope Kellerman saw some slick in Judah to make such a comparison.
I don't really respect most boxing journalist's though so I wouldn't really even know where to start and that is a lot of work. Also as you know I deal in my opinion not that of others for the most part.
I only brought up Kellerman because that was off the top of my head and i wasn't overly serious.
Hope you get you answer though, or not since that would serve your purpose better.
Yea, I got your answer.
Nobody has ever really described Judah as slick.
Thanks.Comment

I didn't say that, and like I already pointed out one guy said it even if he was wildly off base so it is not hard to see others saying similar things.
I was saying I don't know and can't be bothered to search.
Don't put words in my mouth, I have no intention of carrying this further though as I feel no obligation to defend Judah or do as you say.
I wasn't even trying to start **** with you either.Comment

I know this thread is bait lol but i would have liked to seen Mayweather against Spinks when he first moved to welter. People always called me crazy when i said Spinks had a serious shot at an upset.Comment

So, who are these boxing scribes who have described Judah as slick?I didn't say that, and like I already pointed out one guy said it even if he was wildly off base so it is not hard to see others saying similar things.

It should be easy since a few of you here say he has been for his career. Since he has been for his career, it should be easy to point out which writers, past fighters and analysts agree with you.Comment

Oh, I can think about my thoughts, and still be thinking thoughts about my thoughts that are thinking thoughts about thoughts.
Plus, I try to be slick when doing it, like Arturo Gatti, so that makes me the ultimate slicker. Judah isn't slick, so my thoughts are slicker than Zab Judah.Comment
I'm taking my none knowing boxing ******* ass out of this thread
