No prime Byrd and Ibragimov are better. But the undefeated Chagaev that fought Wlad two years ago was way better than the version that he is today but Gayevid is still scared of him. He could fight him if he wanted to, but he doesn't want to, he can set up the fight in Germany or in another country were Chagaev's Hep B will not be a problem like Wlad did. Gayevid is vaccinated aginst it so there is no risk to him personally or his family. Or I guess he could set up a fight with Boytsov, who is the #3 but I garauntee you he will dig up another 40 year old on the verge of retirement.

LOL so is it coincidence that Gayevid promised to fight top 10 opponents and "clean out the division of all these bums" and every single one of his opponents since and including Barrett was 36+ at the time and at least 8 years OLDER than him? You mean to tell me he couldn't fight Arreola, Wlad, Chagaev, Povetkin, Adamek, Solis, Jhonson, Boytsov, Chambers, Dimitrenko, Peter (just to name a few)? Barrett and Fraudley and Valuev were his choices, Ruiz was not fine and even if you give him a pass on Valuev, what's the excuse for Barrett and Audley? It seems like he likes a certain age of fighters, was that way at CW as well - Thompson and Mormeck, except Thompson backfired on him.

Barrett was his first fight at HW. He wasn't a great fighter but he was no mug either. Ruiz stepped aside for Valuev to defend against Haye meaning Haye had to defend against him. Like I have said, the Harrison fight was a joke and I didn't pay to watch it on PPV. Age isn't everything at HW..

LOL @ age isn't everything, only very kind of special fighters like Vitaly, Lewis, and Foreman can still do what they do in their late 30s, everyone else becomes shot. Look at Valuev, he had to undergo 3 surgeries after the Gayevid fight for both knees and shoulder, I suspect he went into the fight with those injuries and wasn't mobile at all. Ruiz said it was his last fight and so did Barrett (who broke his promise). Even Haye himself said that he doesn't want to stick it out in boxing past 31 because he is afraid of getting beat by younger and fresher boxers - LOL , at 31 he is afraid of getting beat someone fresher and younger when the closest he has come to facing someone "younger" than him was a 36 year old Valuev when he was 28.
