Buster Douglas performance against tyson is way overrated

Why do people talk about the buster douglas who beat a hungover disinterested unagressive tyson as a great fighter . Douglas looked so great in that fight because tyson looked so bad . Its not hard when your 6'4 to outbox guy who is 5'11 when the little guy dosent jab his way in or bob and weave try to slip punches and just walks straight in trying to land one bomb to finish the fight which is all tyson did for 10 rounds . I mean tyson threw 13 punches in the first round . How can anyone say that tyson was even close to his best in that fight . Thats the worst performance from tyson outside of the lewis, mcbride and botha fights. I mean when did tyson even try to put together a combination in that fight . I mean the james tillis who tested a green tyson would of boxed the ears off the super douglas of toyko , tillis had better movement , was more versatile and fought a much , much better tyson than the imposter douglas beat on for 10 rounds . I mean tyson got beat from pillar to post by all his sparring partners before the fight guys who tyson would usually hammer .

Whatever, but Douglas did box beautifully. You cant discredit Buster, he did what he had to do. And yes I do think a focused Tyson would have won by ko but it still wouldnt had been easy for Mike. You can tell Buster was ready for war by the way he came out cracking Mikes ****. No one ever did that to Mike.

Buster was prepared, in the right place at the right time, to win.

So were alot of Tysons victories, How hard was it for a guy with such great speed and power to demolish some of the old guys and sorry ****s Tyson beat. so what the first guy who comes along and stands up to him should have his performance discredited by a bitter Tyson fan. not in my book.

Lol Tyson ****** fans make me laugh.Douglas is a bum but he still kicked Tysons ass so what does that say about Tyson? That a glass chin light punching bum beat him down like the rapist coward he is and knocked him out.
Hey ****** let me ask you this. Why do ****sexual black men like yourself continue to make excuses for every Tyson lost? Why do you go on and on about well if Rooney would of stayed Tyson's trainer he would of never lost crap?I didn't know Rooney had something to do with Tysons glass chin.Tyson would of been knocked out 5 times no matter who he had.
If Rooney could change a fighters chin and heart then he would of done it for other fighters.Could you imagine Super Rooney in Foremans,Ali's,Fraziers or Holyfields corner.Or how about a guy like Tua who has a iron chin.If super Rooney could make a glass chin rapist like Tysons chin better than Tua would of had a chin so tough that even god could not knock him down.Well at least a idiot you like would think so right Tyson ball licker?

You Tyson fans are pathetic, making excuses for Tyson for losses that are over 15 years old.

If Tyson came in unprepared than that is his fault. He still got his ass handed to him and you can discredit that.

Agreed, it certainly wasn't one of Douglas' best performances. For any credibility at all he should of stopped Tyson in two or three rounds because Mike was a walking zombie by then and hadn't trained since May 1988. Douglas just didn't look very good that night, he looked much better against an undefeated Tucker (TNT Tucker was a truly excellent fighter back then) before his problems.

                    No Matter What..........

Busters display of punching, counter punching, THE JAB, combinations, uppercut, in fightign, angles, smarts, toughness and will... etc etc etc were all TOP FLIGHT on that night. That was an almost flawless performance on his part
