I agree. Montiel relies a lot on his power, throws too wide, and likes to stand in front of his opponents and throw arm punches. I am not saying Donaire is going to win, i just think it will be an extremely good style matchup.

Montiel seems to run a buit hot and cold, though I remember thinking he was lucky that night against Valdez. IIRC, the Valdez-Montiel fight was a fight people were using to justify Hasegawa beating him rather easily.

yea but the fight was inconclusive. The fight was stopped bc of a cut i would understand if he was knocked out. And it seemed that the cut really bothered him but by the end of the fight he was getting his senses back.
But its going to be tuff fight and montiel will need to get close to be able to have a chance.
