I'm not pretending he is the victim. Heck, he needs to step up his competition, that much is evident. But I REFUSE to believe that the reason he didn't get the Manny fight was because he didn't fight Mosley. Nothing you nor anyone else can say for me to believe that non-sense.

Simple as this, Berto doesn't fit the mold of Manny's recent opponents, thus Manny is fighting Shane as opposed to Berto.

I disagree with this statement and also agree with this statement. I understand the business side of things. I mean, after Shane's most recent fight, Arum talked about how "done" Shane was and how he doesn't see anything in him to make a fight with Shane and Manny. Then after that, he praises Shane as an opponent for Manny. Weird.

Anyways, Berto is clearly the better opponent at this point in time, and I don't there is any debating of that. Berto is young, fast, strong, has some skills and he presents something different for Manny as opposed to his last 3 (including Shane) opponents. I mean, Manny has given us Clottey, Tony and now Shane. Those are three straight fights from him that I don't think any hardcore boxing fan was dying to see.

Berto vs Mosley imo is still a toss up fight if it were to happen. Mosley is clearly not at his best anymore but im not sure Berto could deal with his power. I do agree though that Berto Pac is a better fight at this point because Berto is young,undefeated and fresher but im just not sure that i agree that even now Berto is better then Mosley.

You should learn what a promoters job entails.

Manipulating the media is a big part of it~ also Arum is a master of it and has tons of experience at it. In short he is much better at it than Oscar (who has the same exact job) even if Oscar owns a magazine.

You're forgetting that Floyd fought De La **** at his actual weight. He didnt steal the fight by making him cut down to a weight that he hadn't fought at in over a decade.

You know as well as i do that Shane was looked at as a serious threat when Floyd fought him. He was coming off his Margarito win which reinvigorated his career and most boxing heads thought he could give both Floyd and Pac a good fight.

When rumors we're spreading that Team Pacquiao was ducking him it was Floyd who stepped up and took the fight. Needless to say, Floyd dominated him for 12 rounds, and now that he's a little softer and there's a little less spring in his step, Team Pacquiao is ready to fight him.
