You can't call him Manny's leftovers when most educated boxing fans believe Marquez won both their fights. Not to mention it's become apparent that Team Pacquiao want no part of fighting Marquez ever again after the wars he put Manny through in their 2 fights.

Floyd faked his retirement because of these guys (Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Williams, Oscar rematch) and now he went to vacation playing possum because of Pacquiao and Martinez. I'm not pretending he is the victim. Heck, he needs to step up his competition, that much is evident. But I REFUSE to believe that the reason he didn't get the Manny fight was because he didn't fight Mosley. Nothing you nor anyone else can say for me to believe that non-sense.
Simple as this, Berto doesn't fit the mold of Manny's recent opponents, thus Manny is fighting Shane as opposed to Berto.

Manny is fighting Shane because Shane's name sells more then Berto's with the casual fans who will be buying the ppv. If Berto would have made Top Rank and team Pac more money he would be the opponent. You have got to be joking if you think a fighter on the level of Pac would be scared to fight a guy like Berto.I'm not pretending he is the victim. Probably but the reason the fight with Shane is being made is not because of him being more vulnerable then Berto but for the fact that he will generate more money due to his name with casual's. Bob Arum is a business man he is trying to generate the most money possible. I dont like the Mosley fight either but lets not act like Berto is being avoided because he is dangerous.Comment

I disagree with this statement and also agree with this statement. I understand the business side of things. I mean, after Shane's most recent fight, Arum talked about how "done" Shane was and how he doesn't see anything in him to make a fight with Shane and Manny. Then after that, he praises Shane as an opponent for Manny. Weird.
Anyways, Berto is clearly the better opponent at this point in time, and I don't there is any debating of that. Berto is young, fast, strong, has some skills and he presents something different for Manny as opposed to his last 3 (including Shane) opponents. I mean, Manny has given us Clottey, Tony and now Shane. Those are three straight fights from him that I don't think any hardcore boxing fan was dying to see.Comment
