Comments Thread For: Peterson on Fighting Amir Khan, Talks Bradley-Alexander

Things were looking pretty bleak for Lamont Peterson on the night of December 11th. Facing off with talented southpaw Victor Ortiz at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Peterson found himself tasting canvas on two occasions in the third round of their junior welterweight clash after absorbing some piercing blows from his Oxnard foe and seemed to be on weary legs. A stoppage loss seemed to be just around the corner for the D.C. fighter, a defeat that would surely have sunk his career for the moment.

Agreed Rome my homie. He showed true grit and determination against Ortiz, and showed why he should be mentioned in the 140 talks. He upped his stock big time. I am excited about the Peterson brothers again.

Khan will have problems dealing with Peterson's counter-punching at first. But I think his speed and strength lead Khan to a mid-to-late round stoppage victory.

This could turn out to be a very competitive match-up. Amir won't have a reach advantage this time.

Yup much respect for Khan if in fact he does take this fight,I feel it's a dangerous one..His better skill set should lead him to victory but I won't be surprised if at the end people felt the outcome of the fight was wrong..

And Peterson does not throw wild shots you can see coming, his shots are a lil more straight..This is an exciting fight,I can't wait to see how both preform..

But people will write him off and pick Khan by KO. If Peterson can close the range he will give Khan trouble, he can fight inside pretty well. Plus his counter punching can make Khan uncomfortable.

Yeh this would be a good match up and like Peterson says he may bring something different that Khan hasn't faced too often. I like the way Peterson talks, respectful to Khan, no trash talk, just tells it like it is. Good read.
