Actually he can, Hopkins was a WBA champ when he signed DLH and he defended his title against mandatory Allen, with his fight signed against Oscar. There are plenty of precedents for that

    And, ofcourse, the proof

Naturally, with a fight of that magnitude looming, both allowed themselves ample time in between bouts.

Wait a minute, there is roughly 7 month left before the july fight. Nothing stops Haye from fighting Chagaev in march/early april and have 3 months of prep.
These who want will find a way, these who dont will find an excuse.

Wait...isn't Wlad the one who decided he needs the tuneup? So why doesn't the reverse (really, the original) hold true? Why can't he fight Chisora in March/early April?

Well it would be common sense not to sign a unification bout until after their other fights were out of the way what if either Klit bros or Haye were to lose their bouts it would make a Haye vs Klit bros fight mean bascially nothing as it wouldn't be a title unification fight would it?

See, you are missing the point completely, besides the fact that april date was the one given to him by RTL, it is not Wlad who is making a fuss about fighting a tune up before the unification. He is a champ with almost 60 fights to his name, he knows his stuff better then any other heavyweight. It is David Haye who does not want Wlad to fight Chisora because, as per David Haye, WBA will make him fight his mandatory (I have my doubts about that though, as recent history showed WBA to be the most "flexible" out of all four organizations, and that it usually gave in to the demands of their champions if it was asked") which he does not want to do. Is any of that Wlad's problem? I dont think so. Does any of that prevent David Haye or Wlad fight at a later date, like august/september, for example? No, not really.
Its David Haye who just wants to drag on things, have one money fight with Klitschko and then retire by october.

Well, not really, first of all, it would be common sense for Wlad to have a fight prior to july 2nd, because by that time he would be almost one year inactive, it would also be common sense for Wlad to secure an earlier date because Haye already withdrew from Klitschko fight at a last minute(twice) and Wlad's main income method is fighting after all. David Haye is not the most trustworthy of business partners and if things to go sour(as they did before) Wlad would have 10 months of no income. And boxers do have to pay bills and buy nice things for their family, no?

Right...but there's nothing stopping them from fighting in September except...Wlad has a fight scheduled then. And again...I ask you...what's stopping Wlad from taking the tuneup far earlier? And if he can't do it far earlier...what's stopping him from not doing it at all?

You should read my previous post on importance of tune ups before having a fight with David Haye.
As for your first point, it is quite mute, because Wlad went on to sign Adamek AFTER David Haye decided to drop the matter of a fight completely. When a girl tell you to fuck off, do you still approach her, or do you go for another one?
I am pretty sure that if haye's team did not throw a hissy fit, we would be having something more solid then "I will retire by october without fighting a Klitschko".

So you didnt really answer my question at all Im not saying Wlad shouldn't fight Chisora if he wants a tune up but then dont say Haye is ducking him when Wlad choose to not fight Haye. You didnt post anything that countered my other post about their is no point in signing contracts until the klit bros and Haye come through their fights with wins and no injuries.
