Maybe he realised his low key style wasnt getting him the headlines so he is taking a leaf out of the Al Haymon book and talking smack.

Next he will probably go out and get him self caught for roiding, maybe then he will be a star like Mosley and land a big fight. Until then lets see how he handles a big shot from the over-the-hill and blown-up Randall Bailey. Its a fight he should win easy, but it is medium risk with minimal reward. If he loses he may aswell stick to twitter full time, where he pulls more publicity than with his charity efforts and boxing adventures. Sad days.
Well talking smack is definitely not from the Al Haymon book. Hopefully he gets a big fight. But right now, even as flawed as he is, he's too risky for the big name fighters.

He is starting to remind me of Zab Judah. I wouldnt be surprised if his career follows a similar path, which is by no means an insult but I cant see him becoming the face of the sport.

Well I don't think anyone expects to see him as the face of the sport. And I don't even know if he can beat any of the top fighters. But I do think he's willing to find out and, really, that's all you can ask for.

Berto fights bums, yes but isn't this all because he was trying to fight the top fighter out there? Faulting him for the pullout is ridiculous. Read up on haiti, by far this hemisphere's poorest country, and you'll understand the need for boots on the ground. This is after all a sport, I mean what kind of chicken s..t would want to help search and/or rescue relatives when they can make money, right?......it's ignorant

should have more money, been boxing since the stone age.....classic
No matter what these 2 have too fight
I don't think too many faulted him for pulling out due to the Haiti tragedy. What you have to understand though is that when he returned, they tried to negotiate a new contract and all of a sudden the original terms weren't good enough for Berto ($$$ wise). I think it says a lot about how much Berto REALLY wanted to fight Mosely.

On a side note: I guess Shane Mosely needs to twitter "block" Berto now, just like Floyd did to Kahn. But seriously, bringing the ex-wife in to it like that was just a bull**** low blow. Berto "take a dump while looking at Mosely" just sounds jealous and bitter.

Well why wouldn't they? Seeing as how Mosley had lost plenty of value after the Mayweather bout?

Well, Mosely losing to the best in the sport didn't increase Bertos value any. How can he walk in there after coming back from Haiti and say "OK, now I want more then I agreed to before" when he hadn't done anything of note to increase his own value? Even if you look at the Quintana fight, being completely honest - he looked like **** up until the last 20 seconds of the fight in my opinion. If he had really wanted to PROVE his worth then he should have been willing to accept the same terms of the original fight that they were already in training for prior to Haiti. For Berto to walk away from the second negotiation, where he was offered the same % that he had agreed to before, for me speaks in LOUD volume.

Too many fighters today think they deserve more money than they've proven to be worth yet. Berto demanding to be paid the same amt of $ that Shane was to be paid is a joke, especially considering what both had done up to that point comparitively.

I still keep hearing what Larry Merchant said after Berto knocked out Hernandez. He said 'Sorry folks, but this doesn't say anything about Berto. It only says something about the type of opponent he just beat.'

This guy talks so much **** on twitter but when it comes to back it he up ends up fighting cab drivers. Let's see if he takes the Cintron fight or runs away like the lil ***** that he is.

So many people here on Boxingscene dont want to acknowledge that.
