i feel like a lot of you didnt read this part of the article...
"With the way the title situation is playing out, Chavez might fight for the WBC title without having to face Martinez.
The sanctioning body is strongly considering making Martinez the "Champion Emeritus" at middleweight, which in turn would vacate the "regular" WBC title and create a situation where Chavez as the silver champion would face unbeaten interim-champion Sebastian Zbik for the vacant belt. Discussions are already taking place to match Chavez and Zbik."

and look at the title. he targets martinez' wbc title...not an actual fight with martinez, just the belt that will be vacated when he's elevated to "champion emeritus".
