I'd watch anything involving Ricardo Mayorga - the man brings drama, excitment and talks a whole lot of trash. What more do you want?? lol

Also Cotto is a warrior. These are the sorts of fights I enjoy

Sayyyyyyyyyy, does it upset U when other fighters fight cheaters at catchweights for vacant straps 40 year olds who ain't beat anyone in years??Or welterweights that fight lightweights at catchweights & don't have the curtisy to make that weight??

But on a different note,I wonder if Stewart realizes that it's Cotto that has stamina issues, not Mayorga??

I think the fight w/ Yuri showed some mechanic issues that Steward was clearing up for Cotto, that may have contributed to his stamina issues. Leaning over, crosses legs were some of the mechanical issues that Cotto didn't have while under *cough* Santiago. I think more working on these issues will help alleviate some of the stamina issues.

Yuri is an extremely busy fighter with alot of movement, and Cotto seemed fine, from an endurance perspective. I think this Mayorga fight is the perfect fight to come back for. I also think Mayorga will actually be in decent shape for it as well. If he wants to have another relevant fight, he'll need a good showing.

I for one, can't wait. I love Cotto, I love Mayorga and I expect fireworks while it lasts

Mayorga is a guy who shouldn't have any success against an elite fighter. So that means if Cotto doesn't beat him convincingly, Miguel is a non-entity at this point. Mayorga is a better opponent than Randall Bailey though. I gotta give Cotto that.

Yuri Foreman isn't a good example of Cotto's stamina problem,he has no power & isn't a pressure fighter,Mayorga is gonna bring it,this is a fabulous test for Cotto because Mayorga is bigger, stronger & to me has more stamina,Cotto's stamina & skills are gonna have to be on point,or else he will lose.

Mayorga fits the shoe perfectly. A good fun stay busy fight for Cotto. Remember Cotto fought Alfonso Gomez two months b4 the 1st Margo fight. This is pretty much the same.

I think this is a more dangerous fought than people think. Moyorga is still strong and in the early rounds and is very ackward. Everything punch that he throws has k.o. written on them. Good test for cotto's rejuvinated boxing skills. im a cotto fan but i have to admit, i would like to see mayorga get under his skin and make this fight personal. I dont think mayorga will let me down, he always has a way of insulting and flustering his opponents.

if Cotto was training himself this would be a very damgerous fight but with Steward in the corner it will probably be very much like when he fought Alfonso Gomez. I have a feeling the gameplan will be lateral movement, lots of jabs, work the body and a tight defense. I look for this to be an intense 2 or 3 rounds with Cotto dominating and bludgeoning Mayorga with jabs and hooks to the body and by about the 5th round the will be taking Mayorga out on a stretcher.

On a serious note though I hope that Cotto and team has a plan for when Mayorga comes in 3 or 4 pounds over the limit. You know its gonna happen, the guy is a notoriously lazy POS. but always entertaining.
