Cotto does great and SSM not so great.
Pac is no1 and floyd is no2. That is not so bad. Stop cheerleading Floyd. Get him in the ring to fight and beat pac. How easy is that. Floyd thinks he could beat Pac easy supposedly.
AND Floyd actually beat the P4P#2 fighter in the world AND
the #1WW, Shane Mosley? Hatton came off of a win granted
but Cotto struggled with Clottey and Pac immediately told
Arum that he wanted the fight. How can you discredit Floyd
because Mosley looked bad against Mora? Floyd fought
Mosley coming off of a win. Pac is fighting the Mosley who
fought Mora. Sounds to me like you are the real cheerleader.

want to fight anymore. I agree that the title should go to the
guy who is most active but in the same breath Martinez is active
and has fought better opposition than Pac and Floyd ain't even
trying to live up to it, so Sergio has my vote. On top of that,
Pac ducked Sergio Martinez eventhough he holds Martinez's
vacant title. Pac fights at 151 for a 154 title against a non ranked
fighter and the guy who title he has (Martinez) wants to fight
Pac and Pac don't want to fight him, at a weight class he fought
and won the title at? No way that I put Pac over Sergio Martinez.
Pac has been fighting more but his fights were for profit not
for status because none of them guys at 147/154 had anything
to offer other than a name. With exception to Cotto, who indeed
had a title but Pac didn't even fight him for it at 147 but rather 145?
AFTER he fought Oscar at 147? I don't see how people continue
to praise Pac as being #1? The truth is out so much about Pac
that even his beloved Journalis "Nathaniel" whatever his last name
is, has tried to justify Pac picking his opposition? He's the biggest
Pacquiao lover and even had to fess up about the match made
opposition.

Dont try discredit Pacs wins of beating opponents better than Floyd or sergio does. When Floyd beats Pac, then you can try justifying why Pac probably beat Hatton and DLH better. Until then accept Pac is the superior of Sergio and floyd.

Who is the superior opposition Sergio is fighting? Pac beats people better than Floyd and sergio so what is the probablity, so i can safely say all those great opponents your giving Sergio credit for beating Pac would beat them as well, and impressively.
As far as comparing Pac, sergio or even floyd, the we can go on is common denominator opponents. And its clear you will always make excuses when it comes to this, especially if Pac wins, if the hatton, and DLH fights against Pac are anything to go by. But a fair person would give Pac the benefit of the doubt and credit to Pac.
Sergio is the new kid on the block as far as accomplishments goes. He has had a good year but lets not get carried away that hes the best fighter in the world now.Last edited by hugh grant; 01-10-2011, 08:37 PM.

Pac beats others competition when they are at the lowest point of their careers. You can't spin reality kid.

And Cotto ?
WTF ?
How the hell could you mention Cotto ?
Margarito and Clottey both battered Cotto. EVERYBODY was saying that Cotto looked shop-worn and faded after Clottey. Miguel was not on top of his game, he had no trainer to speak of, and he most certainly was not in his prime..... plus, Pacquiao tried to drain him on the scales.

That was a silly thing to say. They fought like 10 years ago, and Martinez was a green kid who only had a handful of fights.
Margarito has NEVER even approached the level that Martinez is on right now.
Sergio would significantly outclass cheato now, be under no illusions.
Also, you can't use triangle theories, because styles make fights.
If Manny > Martinez..... then why won't he fight him ?
Why won't he fight any genuine junior middleweight ?
He beats Floyds opponents like Floyd couldnt, and then the excuses come flooding in, rather than give Pac credit. Try to make excuses and explain why Pac is more succesful then either FLoyd or Sergio!
Umm..... no. I wouldn't, because he isn't.

No, I will not wait until "Floyd beats Pac", I will "try justifying why Pac probably beat Hatton and DLH better" right now

Pacquiao was at best, an educated slugger. Now, he is probably most accurately described as a boxer/puncher.
Mayweather is a pure boxer.
You really cannot understand the difference between the two?
Mayweathers goal, is to break down his opponent technically, without providing him with any opportunities. Pacquiao's goal, is to knock his opponent TFO, regardless.
It is absolutely technically correct to say that Mayweather performed better against Hatton than Manny did - and Hatton was undefeated when Mayweather fought him - although I prefer Manny's win because of the spectacular nature of the KO.....
e.g.
Pacquiao
Opponent = Hatton
Goal = KHTFO
Result = met expectations, in spectacular fashion
Mayweather
Opponent - Hatton
Goal = beat him by decision
Result = exceeded expectations
Styles make fights man. You are crazy if you think that Manny will fire off 1200+ punches vs Mayweather.
