Too many excuses here. Pac is candidate for the GOAT because of what hes done. So he must be no1 on the strenghth of what people think hes done.

FLoyd has to beat Pac to be no1, simple as. If floyd dont want to do it that way. He has to beat people either better than Pac beats people or beat some threats. He didnt do it against COtto, Margarito and SSM when he had the chance. So how can you defend him in that he should be no1 in not fighting people?

"Marquez" coming off of a fight of the year performance and then
fought and beat Shane Mosley who prior, dominated Margarito and
was considered the best fighter at 147 and #1WW, WBA champion.
When was the last time Pac fought a fighter coming off of a dominate
win, was ranked highly on the P4P list or fighters who were coming off
of a win? Floyd has to beat guys better than Pac did? Pac fought
2 guys Floyd beat over a year prior and now he will fight another
(Mosley) who is coming off of a one sided beat down from Floyd
and a boring draw with Mora. The more I read posts on here, the
more I see how ignorant and jaded most of you are.

Mayweather beating Manny would NOT make him #1 P4P. Mayweather has to beat Martinez.

Manny beating Mayweather would make him P4P #1.

In reality Mayweather's toughest challenge for anyone honest with themselves and Manny's recent career "choices" would not make Mayweather P4P#1. It would only give Mayweather his highest payday to date.

Technically Floyd left the #1 spot to Pac. Manny never beat Floyd
for it. In my opinion Martinez is above both of them because neither
is trying to get in the ring with him. The Wlad/Haye argument is valid
because David Haye needs to beat one of the Klit brothers. Floyd
fought Mosley who was the #1 WW at the time and ranked in the
P4P rankings. Who has Pac fought of recent that was ranked higher
than Mosley at WW? Holyfield fought all the big names and tough
fighters so I can live with him saying this.

Garbage posts like this make Manny look bad because none of it is
true. Manny walked away from the first negotiations and later told
Kahn he is not mentally ready to take the OST's. Manny Pacquiao
has Martinez's title that Sergio had to vacate. Manny fought Margarito
(Who wasn't ranked) for the title which is a 154LB title but Manny won
it at 151 (catchweight). Martinez said he would come down to 154 to
fight Manny for it and even put his middleweight title on the line and
Manny still refused, saying Sergio is too big but Margarito outweighed
Manny by like 17LBs. You need to know your boxing and stop being
a Pac cheerleader.

So Hatton wasnt coming off a dominating win against Paul mallignagi, and Cotto was coming off a good run of wins, against highly rated opponents as well. Who did JMM beat at WW that you give Floyd so much praise for beating? Floyds win over SSM was good, but his fight against Mora puts things into perspective. So does Cottos win at 154lb. Cotto does great and SSM not so great.
