man, this pac/floyd debate is neverending.
i agree w/ Holyfield, until they beat each other, none of them are #1.
floyd's been out and pac has been fighting catchweight/shot fighters.
martinez has had two great wins and hopefully makes another one soon. he's called them both out and unless pac's camp fights him without a catchweight or floyd steps up, i think martinez deserves the #1 spot. plus, i think once floyd & pac see that martinez is #1, maybe then, some great fights can happen between those 3 fighters.

it? That's B.S. Pac beat De La Hoya and Hatton AFTER Floyd.
Oscar was at his natural weight and Hatton was UNDEFEATED.
When Mayweather fought them. Shane looked shot against Mora
BUT Floyd beat Mosley when he was #1 at WW and held the WBA
title. Manny is fighting Shane after Mora, coming off of a bad draw
against Mora. How is Pac so much greater than Floyd? Pac is
fighting 3 guys Floyd already beat and haven't even fought Floyd
yet who beat all of them. WW#1 Mosley was a better win for
Floyd than Pac over De La Hoya, Cotto, Clottey at 147. Don't
see how Pac has a better resume. Why do you think boxing
presses like BoxRec, Fox Sports and BBC Sports still have
Floyd as the P4P#1 fighter in the world. How is Pacquiao
a legit number for the slot? Both need to fight one another
but Manny needs the fight and win to solidify his claims more.
On my list Martinez trumps both.
yeah youre right boy????but why do they put packyou on no 1 list??????just because they want it to put on no 1 p4p list???why not floyd?????

so true....the MAN era provided us with some memorable scraps.....this is the WO-MAN era

Too many excuses here. Pac is candidate for the GOAT because of what hes done. So he must be no1 on the strenghth of what people think hes done.

FLoyd has to beat Pac to be no1, simple as. If floyd dont want to do it that way. He has to beat people either better than Pac beats people or beat some threats. He didnt do it against COtto, Margarito and SSM when he had the chance. So how can you defend him in that he should be no1 in not fighting people?

I can't believe that people say things like that.

What a truly absurd thing to say.

Holyfield, your right. Neither one of them deserves to be number one, especially since one of the parties (Mayweather) is scared to fight for whatever reasons. Make the third selection (Martinez) who is highly deserving of the number one spot with "Knockout of the Year" honors. At least he'll fight anybody.

Pac is the FOTD. Surely that makes him more deserving of no1 than Floyd. We know Floyd wouldnt ko cotto like Pac did at WW. We know Floyd dont make his opponents into elephant man.
Everything has to be taking into account. Floyds last fight was how long ago. Time waits for no one. Time moves on and it wont wait for Floyd. Out of sight out of mind.

It's not a two-horse race, and even if it was, the result between common opponents should be completely irrelevant if you have factored in the two different styles.

What has FOTD got to do with GOAT?
