Former undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield recently gave his opinion on the growing debate as to which fighter should be ranked as the best, Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr. Speaking with Suge Green of OnTheGrind Boxing Radio, Holyfield refused to rank either fighter as the best. He is the number one. But if Floyd beats Pac, he becomes no1. Simple as. But cant blame Pac, just because Floyd dont seem to desperate to prove he can become no1 again.

Technically Floyd left the #1 spot to Pac. Manny never beat Floyd
for it. In my opinion Martinez is above both of them because neither

That doesn't make sense at all. Pac don't have to beat Floyd
who was the #1 fighter in the world before him but now Floyd
has to beat Pac to become #1, when Pac never beat Floyd for
it? That's B.S. Pac beat De La Hoya and Hatton AFTER Floyd.
Oscar was at his natural weight and Hatton was UNDEFEATED.
When Mayweather fought them. Shane looked shot against Mora
BUT Floyd beat Mosley when he was #1 at WW and held the WBA
title. Manny is fighting Shane after Mora, coming off of a bad draw
against Mora. How is Pac so much greater than Floyd? Pac is
fighting 3 guys Floyd already beat and haven't even fought Floyd
yet who beat all of them. WW#1 Mosley was a better win for
Floyd than Pac over De La Hoya, Cotto, Clottey at 147. Don't
see how Pac has a better resume. Why do you think boxing
presses like BoxRec, Fox Sports and BBC Sports still have
Floyd as the P4P#1 fighter in the world. How is Pacquiao
a legit number for the slot? Both need to fight one another
but Manny needs the fight and win to solidify his claims more.
On my list Martinez trumps both.
