Comments Thread For: Klitschko vs Adamek Will Bring Likely Return To HBO

Reports in Germany suggest that American cable network HBO is very interested in televising the September battle between Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28KOs) and WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49KOs). Neither Klitschko brother has appeared on HBO since Vitali beat Chris Arreola in September 2009. Wladimir has not been on the network since stopping Hasim Rahman in December 2008.

The K-Bros said they wanted to be on Showtime, not HBO.

Wald would be a ***** if he let HBO televise this fight. HBO did him dirty and he promised to never box under HBO again. I think he shoulds stick with Showtime.

Well if Haye is going to ***** out on him again, no point in Wlad waiting around for what's not going happen.

HBO will be hard to turn down, even if they've not shown much support for Wlad of late.

See, this is what I've been trying to say. Tunney and others keep claiming HBO is racist against Europeans and especially against the Klitschkos but that simply is not the case. HBO is an American company so of course they will be more likely to show Americans for stronger ratings but they aren't racist at all. Americans aren't interested in Heavyweight bouts and that's why they haven't been on the network. A Klitschko/Adamek or Klitschko/Haye fight is a fight that the American public wants to see and that is why it didn't take long for HBO to snatch it up.
