It's a shame, but even most featherweights and under aren't ever going to get the appreciation that they deserve.

In the list of all time greats, Willie Pep is left almost unmentioned.

    At least by most fans.

Who is the best guy he's fought? Brahim Asloum?

What makes you think he is so underrated?

Your usually a very good poster, but your way off the mark here. I don't understand how you can discredit Mayweather all the time like you do and play down his resume and then big up a guy like Narvaez saying that he's the most underrated boxer in the world. Stats don't lie.

              World champions fought :
              Mayweather - 15
              Narvaez - 4

I give Narvaez credit for fighting abroad but he's not underrated. Like all fighters he's rated based on who he's fought and who he's beat. He's undefeated but his competition has been poor. Very poor. Mayweather on the other hand is undefeated and has fought excellent opposition. Even though he will be endlessly criticized. He's fought and beat more world champions than Pacquiao and just about any other fighter in the sport.

He seems very skilled and has pretty good endurance, but lacks explosiveness IMHO,last fight was finished by the sixth round,Zaleta was scared ****less and he couldnt seal the deal.

Now in his late 30s, Omar Narvaez continues to successfully defend his title.

Guys at the lower weights don't get any credit because there is no Americans/Brits fighting in those weights for media attention.

Didn't he get whipped by Donaire then slithered back to Argentina to fight nobodies? Maybe is some other Narvaez i am thinking of.
