He will be. Journalists will wise up. He's got two B wins if you consider Valuev anything special. And even then Mormeck lost to Bell and barely hung on in the rematch right before the Haye fight.

He lost to Thompson and fought bums and Euro level fighters until that Mormeck fight. It's impossible he makes it unless he beats a Klit then maybe.

Enzo Mac was a big win at the time, and now it's a blip on the radar. It's actually funny how important that fight was at one point.

I agree. Haye's reign as cruiser champ was 4-1/2 months long hardly HOF material by any stretch of the imagination. And the best fighter he faced before he beat an old Mormeck and Glass Jaw Joe Big Macc was an even older Fragomeni. And that was a give and take fight for nine rounds and the old Italian was able to bust Haye up pretty good before the fight was stopped. And Haye most likely will not even have thirty fights when he retires. But in all honesty I really believe his mouth may get him into HOF. Simply because his mouth has already convinced many of his fans that he is a great fighter when he has yet to prove it where it counts, and that would be in the ring.

          Based on two fights?

I'm not too sure about that man.

            Good post.

I was thinking the same thing the other day when I read that Macca is retiring, and Mormeck was not at his best either.

I remember the Mac fight being even money at one time. Funny how times change. The thing about Valuev is he lost his title in the ring to Chagaev, then needed a gift to beat an ancient Holyfield to get it back. And as little as I rate him, Haye's win was even less impressive.

Rather funny to see Haye issue ultimatums to Wlad when you think about it, like you said, he absolutely needs to beat at least one Klit and Vitali turns 40 this year.

he barely beat Ruiz to get it back, but agree with the gift. Holyfield deserved more respect and should have been awarded with that belt.

David Haye? In the Hall of Fame? The real one? In Canastota? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life. A plaque on the wall in a hallway at his high school....maybe. This mans heavyweight title run to date is the worst of all time, he's made a joke of the sport and it's fans. As an actual world champion Wlad has already bent a ways to make this fight and Haye has no intention of ever getting pummelled by either of the klit brothers.

Haye shouldn't be scared of being ridiculed. If he fights Vitali and loses then it's no bigdeal, everybody knows Vitali is a whole different monster to any current HW. With Adamek vs Wladimar going ahead, Haye should move on from Wladimar. I'm sure Vitali would jump at the chance to fight Haye.

Haye needs to believe in himself, he has the tools to beat these guys, we've seen what he can do!
