Why do you write off Pascal in a rematch against Dawson ?

Cause I don't really get that.

If we go by what we saw in the first fight, and that is the most logical thing to do if we want to predict what will happen in the rematch, here is what we came to know :

-Dawson's suspect chin is as bad as we anticipated, Pascal wobbled him many times

-Dawson couldn't pass that test of facing a man as young and as fast as himself, he did lose on all scorecards and was troubled by Pascal's handspeed

-Dawson was very tentative and lame at adjusting

-Pascal has issues with his stamina

-Pascal knows how to survive rough moments

-Pascal can hurt Bad Chin Dawson anytime he lands to the head

    -Pascal's heart >>> Dawson's

-At the time of the stoppage, Pascal had weathered the storm, he would have most likely went the distance without the accidental headbutt occuring

So I don't really see how you people are all of a sudden predicting an easy Chad win so unanimously. Based on the first fight, it's ridiculous.

Dawson is no Hopkins, and nothing that we witnessed in their first fight legitimates writing Pascal off. It is not Pascal who has something to prove, it is Dawson. Of course with Steward in his corner he has a better chance, but Pascal is still definitely a live threat to Dawson, he can still cause him problems.

So please explain why you all pick Dawson to win a rematch, going as far as saying he will destroy Pascal. Based on what ? That's the question.

he has recently ackowledged to his promoter and on TV that he has had trouble with his stamina lately

if they can fix the problem, it will help him a lot in his future bouts

pascal isn't going to get the credit he deserves around here...he pretty much took it to dawson, and there's no reason why he wouldn't pick up where he left off...

that's what I think, but it now looks like more than just the butthurt fans are writing Pascal off

there are more people right now predicting a Dawson win after he has been beaten by Pascal than before their first fight, sounds like nonsense to me

I hope they will come here and explain themselves

                  What up Battered Kessler,
Logically? I guess. Maybe to a casual fan who happen to witness that particular fight can conclude that the rematch would be no different. However, a person that follows the sport and seen Dawson, knows he was out of character that night. It has been reported (repeatedly) Dawson was distracted. That being said, Dawson has no excuse for his performance. It's just my opinion that if Dawson was focused he would've beaten Pascal.

-Dawson's suspect chin is as bad as we anticipated, Pascal wobbled him many times

I don't think his chin is suspect, I think he was caught flush with good shots that would wobble anyone.

-Dawson couldn't pass that test of facing a man as young and as fast as himself, he did lose on all scorecards and was troubled by Pascal's handspeed

Maybe. Pascal's hand speed wasn't really the issue in my opinion, it was Pascal's movement that didn't allow Dawson (whatever reason) to let his hands go. But he's faced "young fighters" in the past. Thomas Ademak 29 -30, (undefeated at the time)who is now, literally on the verge of being a pretty damn good heavyweight.

-Dawson was very tentative and lame at adjusting
I really can't comment on this, he did well against Tarver, Johnson II, and started to close in on Pascal in the later rounds. Again, I think it's more of the distractions in Chad's life. -Pascal has issues with his stamina

-Pascal knows how to survive rough moments

He did survive against Dawson in the later rounds, and defintely survived against Hopkins in the later rounds too. So you are right.

-Pascal can hurt Bad Chin Dawson anytime he lands to the head

                  Yeah, possibly.

                  -Pascal's heart >>> Dawson's

I disagree. I think people have a tendency to associate technically sound fighters with "running" or "dancing". Dawson is a technical fighter with good movement and speed, he is a defensive fighter. The dude may be quiet and humble but I don't think it's a question of heart.

-At the time of the stoppage, Pascal had weathered the storm, he would have most likely went the distance without the accidental headbutt occuring

I didn't even bring up the headbutt, but since you did, I believe the fight would've been a lot closer than what it was.

So I don't really see how you people are all of a sudden predicting an easy Chad win so unanimously. Based on the first fight, it's ridiculous.

Dawson > Hopkins (of the last 5 years)
So please explain why you all pick Dawson to win a rematch, going as far as saying he will destroy Pascal. Based on what ? That's the question.

It's an opinion; Dawson is more talented than Pascal, talent meaning more skill and athletic ability. As I stipulated before, Dawson looked out of place; Sure Pascal did his "thing" and I am not denying that. It's just that a person can't just look "that fight". A logical person that knows the sport, would look at the bigger picture and gather all the facts and circumstances that led up to the fight. Dawson was more than capable of beating Pascal, and I believe he will the next fight, and he will do it impressively. Again just an opinion, no disrespect.

                    I approve and agree.

Did anyone else get that feeling during the fight where you wanted to yell at Dawson and say "What are you doing? He's not even that good. You're so much better than this". When Chad finally turned on the heat, you saw the reality of this matchup IMO. I'm picking Dawson in the rematch.
