Which fighter is most at fault: Wladimir Klitschko or David Haye?

It's not like Chisora is a mandatory, Wlad could have signed to fight Haye before Jan 11th and the Chisora contract would have been void.
Haye is fighting a top-5 ranked Heavyweight (ranked number 5 by The Ring). Where as Wlad is fighting a green fighter who has only had 14 fights and is only British Champ, i.e. not even a world class fighter.Comment

at the end of the day, haye agreed to all of wlads demands, yet wlad went and signed to fight someone else. no matter which way you look at it, thats wlad backing away from a fight.Comment

The fight made good money for the both of them.
I'd rather Wlad fight an experience veteran, than a very green fighter who has no experience and is completely out-matched.
Chisora has a marginal punchers chance at best, but considering his size (6' 1.5") compared to Wlad's, he probably won't be able to get on the inside of Wlad and land on his glass chin.
Haye also has a pretty bad chin where as Harrison has pretty good knockout power (check his last fight before fighting Haye - brutal 12th round KO). Harrison also had more pro fights than Haye... Haye went into the fight with the disadvantage when it came to size and reach. If Harrison decided to fight he could have kept Haye at range with his jab. The fight was woeful though I agree, but it made financial sense, where as Chisora-Wlad doesn't really make much sense at all. Wlad would get a decent pay day but Chisora would get sweet FA in comparison. At least Haye gave his opponent £1m+Comment

They've said time and time again... We will fight in the UK, UK this and UK that... they've got everything even the fight in Germany, if it were to be held in the UK then they could organize a better date but no Haye bent over backwards and all they can come up with is a crappy date that collides with others and he is going to be fighting in September overlooking Haye as well.
Haye has been a diva in the past, but this is where you want them to get it signed and Wlad is to blame right here right now.Comment

No way is Haye or Wlad going to fight in April/May and then again in July. This fight is a big event. It needs proper preparation and it needs promoting. You can't build up to one of the biggest fights of the year in 8 weeks. It's impossible. Thus Wlad knew signing with Chisora would scupper the fight and allow him to duck Haye. It's the only logical conclusion.
Second of all, it takes Wlad about 7 weeks to prepare for a fight, if he comes in cold turkey and a long lay off, if he is in shape it should be only about 5-6 weeks for him. I cant believe it to be any different for all world class fighters.
But you know what it really tells me? That David Haye is just looking for one big payday, he is so scared to fight that he won't even fight Ruslan Chagaev, the guy who he could get out rather fast at this point of Chagaev's career. Wlad on the other hand does what a champion should do -- fights, because he wants to.Comment

I take you guys points on board and it still gets outweighed by the fact Haye went up to heavyweight and mouthed off about fighting the Klitschkos all year long and then ducked them last year and he opens this year with a pathetic resume from last year when you compare it to Wlad's (Chambers and Peter compared to Ruiz and Harrison) and he could have killed all this talk about mandatories by fighting a mando last year.
Wlad was signed up for three fights last year and pulled out vs Chisora at the last minute due to injury.
Haye only signed for two. Wlad is the better champ.Comment

First of all who said that this fight should be promoted only after Wlad fights Chisora, there is no law against promotion of an unsigned fight. In fact this is how most promotion starts.
Second of all, it takes Wlad about 7 weeks to prepare for a fight, if he comes in cold turkey and a long lay off, if he is in shape it should be only about 5-6 weeks for him. I cant believe it to be any different for all world class fighters.

Regarding your second point, there are 8 weeks between Wlad's fight and July 2nd. He would need at least two weeks rest after the Chisora fight to rest, a week to promote the fight and whether Wlad only needs 7 weeks to train or not, Haye would probably want at least a 8-10 week training camp (as most top fighters would).
On to your last point...Chisora is a nobody who Wlad should be derided for fighting instead of Haye.Comment
