Fighting Mosley = cherrypicking???

Who would've ever thought that fighting Sugar Shane would one day be called a cherrypicked fight?

This is just a brief discussion that I had with some of San Francisco P.D on boxing this am....(I work for the Govt.)

A buddy of mine was wearing a grey MP pullover hoodie (who is Samoan)...and the cops remarked "nice sweater.....what you guys think about him fighting Mosley?"

4 cops...2 black, 1 latino and 1 white....the 2 black cops and the white cop said Mosley still has a punchers chance and is very live....the latino cop flat out said "Pinche' cherrypicking mutherf%&".

Then the other three started busting his ass about why? Cuz he beat up all the latino fighters??? i just sat back and watched our taxpayer dollars at work...

SSM may land a big punch, and may last the distance, but will most likely get beat up like Margrito did.

Id say to an extent it is cherry picking when Pac could have faced JMM, who was coming off a brilliant win, and who gave Pac real trouble in 2 fights, or Berto who is young, fast and undefeated.

But Pac picking SSM isnt that bad of a fight. Id prefer Pac to face a real boxer who can move and make Pac think, or a great counter puncher like JMM.

We all know Pac can beat iup bigger men who try to KO him.

Irrelevant after 50+ years. The reason why Mosley (and Oscar) is Floyd's biggest fight is because he (they) are HOF. HOF are the only names that sticks after 50 years. Believe it or not.

Mosley only has a punchers chance. However that doesn't make him a good opponent or a legitimate contender for the title. When Mosley was on top of the world after beating the snot out of Margarito, Roach said Mosley was too good for Pacquiao. Two years later after he was beaten by Mayweather and tied against a reality show winner, they decided Mosley was past it and ready for Pacquiao.

What i dont get is that its easy to see that manny is cherry picking. Like it or not that is what he is doing
who cares about floyd he is irrelevant at this point

im a boxing fan and this fight is a c fight

manny needs to really test himself and mosley isnt a big test
berto would generate way less money but that would be a great test for manny
a small ww with speed power and the ability to box (at times)
that is way too much for manny and he knows it
