Fighting Mosley = cherrypicking???

Who would've ever thought that fighting Sugar Shane would one day be called a cherrypicked fight?

This is just a brief discussion that I had with some of San Francisco P.D on boxing this am....(I work for the Govt.)

A buddy of mine was wearing a grey MP pullover hoodie (who is Samoan)...and the cops remarked "nice sweater.....what you guys think about him fighting Mosley?"

4 cops...2 black, 1 latino and 1 white....the 2 black cops and the white cop said Mosley still has a punchers chance and is very live....the latino cop flat out said "Pinche' cherrypicking mutherf%&".

Then the other three started busting his ass about why? Cuz he beat up all the latino fighters??? i just sat back and watched our taxpayer dollars at work...

He picked one of the worst top names available. What does that tell you?

Well being rational your point is moot. It was Floyd's biggest fight because Mosley was comming off an impressive win against Margarito. It's Pacquiao's worst fight because he's fighting a guy who aside from being old, is shot and has not looked any good in 2 years. Does it make sense to you?

Mosley is still a threat I think and he might surprise a lot of people if he gets pumped for this fight and shows up hungry. I think he just might have one more big fight in him.

What's your point? The fight before Floyd, was against the top welter at the time where he completely destroyed Margarito, something not many people thought he would do. Mosley was then considered by many the top guy at 147. That was on January of 2009, two years ago. Even in early 2010 Mosley was considered a big threat and not many people though Floyd woud fight him. Floyd fights him and beats him. Then, Mosley fights Sergio Mora on september looking ugly as shit and so damn mechanical. Everyone said Mosley was done.

My point was that Floyd fought a Mosley who had just beaten the crap out of a guy with a monster chin and Pacquiao is going to fight a defeated and over-the-hill Mosley.

Now, before some of you ******s call me a *****. I'm not. I just say it like I see it.

how about this, u go back to the posts at that time and see how many ppl thought floyd would fight mosely?? then go back and look at how many ppl actually thought shane would be competitive. now tell me how all of that equals a cherry pick when compared to manny's situation??

And some people post floyd is the GOAT. Floyd sr. said khan never even got hurt during the madana fight. People said cotto would ko pac in under 5 rounds. People write ****** **** all the time, what the **** does that have to do with anything. All I can talk about is me. It was pretty easy to call a floyd white wash when the dude he fought was 38 or 39 years old and hadn't fought in 18 months. That might not mean anything to u but it sure as **** tells me a couple of things. It's the same dude, it was a **** fight for money that came 3 or 4 years too late. It's a **** fight for pac. I'm not gonna blow one dude and spit on the other when there doing the exact same thing. Even if I like one and hate the other, that doesn't make me blind to the circumstances. It was a **** fight then, it's a **** fight now. I'm just calling a spade a spade.
