Does it really matter though if he gets striped of the WBA Title? If he beats Wlad in July he will be the Lineal Champion, and the #1 at HW when he retires. I can't see why having his WBA title will matter if he fights Wlad in July.

Plus, if it takes being stripped of your WBA title to get that Diva Wlad in the ring, why not just call his bluff and do it? Imagine if Wlad pulls out in July after all his talk? It will be inexcuseable. I think Haye has nothing to loose if he just calls his bluff now.

In other news I doubt the British Boxing Board would clear Chagaev to fight in this country.

Haye's going to end up getting stripped anyway.

Wlad deserves to get knocked out, there is so much political manaevoring that it's just embarrassing. At least when Haye pulled out we knew it was because basically he wasn't going to get paid for it.

Ouch. Haye should just bash Chagaev up for the hell of it now.

Both Klitschko's have stated that it is the belt they want. They want all belts in the family. They have very little interest in Haye without the strap. Also, It is Haye's dream to be undisputed champ himself so he would likely have a similar attitude to the Klits.
This isn't like the big fights in the lower divisions where the belt is often a side issue. To these guys, it is all about unifying the titles, the belts are everything.
Also, remember how the Klits treated Haye last time he didn't have a belt ? As if Haye would want to go down that road again, being treated like every other bum the Klits fight. There's no way a deal could be made if Haye wasn't WBA champion.

Haye is the one putting pressure on HIMSELF because he insists on some artificial DEADLINE to retire this year.

Haye doesn't HAVE to retire: it's just bull****. He is the only one who says he has to retire. He's only 31, young still in today's HW division.

If he isn't quitting, he still has lots of time to make the K-Bro fights. So the K-Bros are just using Haye's own "deadline" against him, and why shouldn't they?

That is a valid point they did treat the fact differently as he didn't have a belt. But maybe this time as they know he had it but was stripped it may be different?

I think Haye should call his bluff anyway, if Klitschko reasoning for not fighting him in July is because he doesnt have the belt then that makes him a b*tch. I don't think unifying matters to Haye as long as he's #1 at HW, but maybe he does.

The Klitschkos are the ones calling Haye's retirement "bluff."

If he isn't retiring, all of this is not such a big deal.

Haye put himself in this position and the K-Bros are just playing it against him.
