Haye is milking this for all it's worth. What is he so afraid of? Wlad has said he will fight on the set day. Haye is sounding desperate.

Why is Haye so concerned with how much time Klitschko would have to prepare for a July 2 fight? It doesn't affect his own preparations. If anything it could be an advantage for Haye if Klitschko hasn't fully recovered from the bout with Chisora.

can't believe there are people still struggling with why this fight can't go ahead on 2nd July. Even if he wanted to, the WBA will not allow Haye to wait four months before signing the Wladimir fight. They'll strip him.

Unless Wlad cancels the Chisora fight, July 2nd is dead (for Wladimir at least)

Then why doesn't Haye fight Chagaev as a tune-up? If he's the fighter people are making him out to be he would surely make quick work of him.

People don't understand this. Wlad has fought twice in 2010 and once in 2009, Haye like many other boxing fans are calling bull**** on Wlad. There's no way he is going to take the biggest fight of his career nine weeks after he's just had a fight. Plus it means Haye has to take a fight with Chagaev close to the Klitschko fight unless he wants to lose his belt. It's ridiculous and for once i can safely say that this time it is Wlad's fault.

Because Haye doesn't want to fight Chagaev so close to a Klitschko fight. And let's be honest Chagaev isn't a tune up. He is several levels above Chisora and if Haye lost to him it would be disastrous for his career. This is ignoring the fact that Sky would be unwilling to broadcast a Haye - Chagaev fight so close to a Khan PPV, and Haye-Klitschko PPV. There are lots of reasons why fighting a tune-up is bad idea.

Alternatively, Haye could just drop the WBA title.

No if he does that the klitschko's will offer him another slave contract.
